What's more, we really don't need to replace him. It's not a priority whatsoever and thankfully the people in charge have enough sense to share that view. I didn’t think it would be easy, and as I’ve mentioned in reply to another post perhaps it’s Konsa that needs improving on so Mings can concentrate on playing to his strengths. It’s a tricky one. Konsa is a very good defender when playing alongside Mings. This has all stemmed from me stating on Saturday that I think Mings needs moving on in the summer, not a ‘get out of my club’ like a lot of fans these days, a thank you for your tremendous service to our club. I think Tyrone is an outstanding person, but he’s just not a good enough player on the ball for what I would like - but that is what it is when it all comes down to it, it’s just my opinion, it’s not Steven Gerrard’s opinion. Possibly, and I rate Konsa, I just think that Mings brings a lot to the side that possibly goes a little unnoticed. The CB topic is an interesting one. Personally, I quite like the partnership we have and it will look even stronger with a proper defensive midfielder sitting in front of them. Not that everyone who dislikes him has an agenda. So I didn't try to stem anything. But it's quite clear, that Mings, unlike most others, seems to be critiqued way over the top at times. I don't dislike him , I see certain things in his game that I question, most parts of his game are excellent. The city goal wasn't his fault, imo.
