At least we have a week or two until pre season for him to get over it. If he is out for 3-4 weeks then not the end of the world. Didn’t he pick up the knock first half and he carried on playing?

To be fair to Carsley he also said that they wouldn’t be taking any risks with him and making him play with pain killing injections because at the end of the day it’s only development football.

Fernandes was on the couch in a moon boot a few days before playing against us. See this all the time in Rugby League. Players taking precautions after games with crutches and moon boots then line up the next week. Not saying it's not a bad injury but not freaking out yet

not sure if someone knows what this looks like injury wise?

I'm not sure this was the moment he got injured? He had a surging run forward, and was tackled halfway from behind. After that tackle he tried for a few minutes to continue, then rolled the ball out of play and sat down to be substituted.

Metatarsal now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time,  a long time.

It looked like a stamp on the ankle rather then middle of the foot. Although if it is a metatarsal injury he could be out for months.
