Kortney Hause

People have been talking about Hause playing at left-back all season and last season, but unless Targett and Taylor are injured it's not going to happen, and even then I think Smith would probably play Guilbert at left-back rather than Hause. On the whole he likes to play players in their specialist positions.

Which is ideally shat we all want, however when hause is one of the only players capable if winning headers then you have to either coach it into others or fit him in somewhere.

Maybe a back 3 of konsa mings hause then target and fred cam bomb forward more with less pressure on getting back ?

I doubt Smith will ever play with wing-backs, wide forwards / wingers are a big part of the way he likes to play and 532 excludes their use, unless you play 523 as Wolves did when they were promoted but they soon found that it didn't work in the premier league and had to change to 532. Besides Targett played as a wing-back for Southampton and their fans didn't rate him at all in that position, he's only good as an attacking force when he has someone to link up with, if you're relying on him soley as your threat from out wide then you're going to be in trouble.

He played LB at Stoke last season. Can't remember if Taylor was injured.

I thought he did well in that position, didn't just whack the ball upfield but was calm and played it out from the back.

I agree it's unlikely we'll see him in that position anytime soon but don't think he'd be awful there.

You're right, he'd be good at defending, but Dean wants offense from his full backs...

I like Hause. He was fantastic against Norwich and always seems to get dropped when he hasn’t really put a foot wrong.
A good player. More than ample as back up. I’d actually be tempted to play him at left back and maybe push target further forward? Defensively we are poor so I think this could help sure us up.

I'd really try that. Not sure how well will Targett be on the wing. But the thing I know is that he's the second player in this team that I like him to have the ball for our attacking play. Every game he offer one or two goal opportunities atleast.

Not PL quality as I always thought. He tricked me into thinking differently against Norwich, but his concentration levels are so low it's ridiculous. He's far too casual far too often.

He does have good moments, but will ultimately always have a glaring error in him.

There is a reason wolves loaned him out and then sold him for only £3m

Because he's a 4th choice CB good for emergencies and cup games

He's OK, nothing more nothing less

He's also often poor or looks lazy in possession because he's looking for and waiting for an easy pass in to the midfield that isn't there so he dawdles then goes long

As I suspected the young CBs came up against a clever experienced striker like Deeney and really struggled.

For all the praise people were giving them v Norwich we were very lucky not to concede 2 or 3 goals in that game.

We need Mings back and might also need to sign an experienced CB on loan. Engels as main back up.

For 3m he was worth signing. Can develop more over next few seasons (although that might have to be in the championship for him to really come on as a week in week out starter) but he simply isn't good enough to start week in week out at this level. Majority of the team who started yesterday outfield are the same tbh.

He isn’t crap, far from it, he’s dominant in the air and quick and strong, what do you expect for £3m these days?

A good utility back up player on the bench.

Not really someone you'd want starting in our biggest games since the play off final.
