I think the character to do this job is more important and the ability to assemble a team, a fully balanced team....than raw experience. Experience is sometimes a confusing characteristic......The more problems, tragedies or setbacks you have the more likely you are to be experienced....its a paradoxical endorsement for me. You don't learn from failure, you just learn how to accept it more......you learn from success and how to sustain it, and you learn how to accept it more. We don't want prize fighters who have had too many reversals and come through the otherside.....they call that experience. We want winners, who can embrace this gig, shake it up, and wallow in the atmosphere of Villa Park.....just like Wolves have done. We need a manager, who is hell bent on taking the game to our opponents and are fearless in their approach. Young men like Thierry Henry have not developed bad habits.....They are also thinkers, we need smart thinkers, not old school maxims that are outdated. We also need someone that everyone looks up to, not be outflanked by large ego's.....someone who can stand nose to nose and say I've done it, now I'm showing you how to do it. The more I think about it.....and considering all the scouting and recruitment changes.....Thierry Henry, might be just the man to grow with. We have tried all the old methods of Experience, experience, experience.....it hasn't worked.....what have we really got to lose?.....Fortune favours the Brave. An admittedly quick look at his career suggests he hasn’t lasted much longer than a year without getting the sack at each of his previous four clubs (well at Udinese it seems he stepped down).
