Think we should at least give him 90 mins to play before writing Kodjia off, we've all given Wesley insurmountable time to adjust to the premier League. Let's not write off Kodjia based on 20mins. If Keinan is out then he is the only option to play up top.

Kodjia has been here for almost 4 years, this "writing off after a cameo" is a myth.

I'm not against giving him the games obviously but let's be real here.

When he can be assed he is a threat.

I'd personally prefer develop Davis.

His work rate at the end of a tight relegation six pointer, when he’s come on fresh, was worse than anything Wesley has dished up.

I hope someone pulled him up on that after the game.

I agree his work rate was atrocious in the Burnley game, but part of me is intrigued to see if Kodjia can step up.  I'm hoping he can get up-to-speed with the next two games.  If he can't then I guess that is that.  I can't see us getting in a striker so quickly so if Keinan isn't fit then I would be inclined to stick with him up front.

Kodjia had his time a long time ago, he wrote himself off way before this season, it just took others longer to realise it.

It now seems most are waking up to his antics.

are you serious VillaLad21, after one poor cameo, he has had one good game against Liverpool kids. You could've thrown another youth team together and they could of shown similar results.

You could put anyone in that striker position and they would show more than Jonathan Kodjia, because it's an opportunity for them and they would appreciate and feel the privalage that the club has given them.

Jonathan Kodjia is the one player we have who goes out onto the pitch and when he starts walking looks like he's going to spew everywhere because he's been on the piss the night before and forgot how to kick a ball.

We get probably our best win of the season, yet there are more posts moaning about Kodjia than anything else. When Lansbury plays and does nothing, hardly anyone says a thing,

so we should have been moaning about Lansbury after our best win of the season? ;)

Oh he's another one I'm fed up of, there are still players from the old regime who clearly need to go.

Let it be the end of all this nonsense where we still have players who are still here from last season who clearly do not give a damn about this club. some fans think we still need them, in the players mind they just think hefty pay cheque. Whats real bad about it all is how Kodjia, Lansbury, Hogan somehow believe they have earnt that pay cheque because they stepped foot on the green, if anything there are still players treating this club as a mug and dont want to put in a shift when given the opportunity.

These few players send the wrong tone of what we need at this club, at most at least Lansbury tries.

Hopefully, just hopefully those three this January,  summer at the latest will be the last times we see them.

Lansbury is miles off the pace, but at least he gives the impression of playing for the team. If you're on the pitch for 20 minutes and defending a one-goal lead for the last 10 mins, there's no excuse for not putting in a massive shift to hang on to that lead.

I can definitely forgive Kodjia being rusty and out of form, but he looked like he didn't give a **** if Burnley equalised.

Kodjia scored nine goals last season in about 22 appearances, and has been injured this season, his star as a Villa icon might be fading but I don't think he's done anything wrong. Yes he's sometimes selfish in a footballing sense, but that's just his style of play, and without it he wouldn't have scored as many goals as he has done for us. To be honest I don't think Lans or Hogan have done anything wrong either as such, sometimes it just doesn't work out for players, I'm sure they would have liked for nothing more than for things to have worked out better.

What really gets me is that we no doubt have a striker who would jump at the chance from the U23s who would fully make the most of an opportunity given to them. They would play there heart out knowing that they might not get another chance again for a long time because that's what we're like towards our youth, wed rather play someone who'd walk the game out than play someone with potential to fill, who could possibly do the job better.

Dont play Kodjia, play an u23 if we have too or pair Wesley with Davis.

We  don't actually have much in the u23s in terms of strikers, we let go of a number of them in the summer, in fact Vassilev who's a midfielder has been playing as striker for our u23 team.

He's been making waves though hasn't he, why do we not give him the opportunity to step up and see what he does instead of kodjia.

He seems to be getting good reviews for his performances, but not sure if we'd play an eighteen year old who's never even been in the first team squad, out of positon anytime soon over our specialist first team squad centre-forwards. And there's a big difference between U23 football and premier league football, the likes of O'Hare and Hepburn-Murphy used to score for fun for our u23s much more so than any of our current players youngsters, but it was a different story when they were playing for us in the championship, or even in leage one for their loan clubs.

I take it you didn't watch the game yesterday?

Our performance suffered when he came onto the pitch.

He has no desire to play for Villa anymore, it's clear to see. It's not just been one poor cameo, it's multiple.

For some reason kodjia has always had stick from some fans.

There was a large number who wanted him sold once Scott Hogan came in.

I actually loved Kodjia as a player.

He’s always been a little selfish and not looked for the pass. Unfortunately injuries have taken away his explosiveness and you’re much more likely to get punished for cheaply losing the ball in this league than the championship.

You make it sound like it’s a mystery why that is?

Twice I’ve seen him come on this season when we need to protect a lead in crucial games. Twice he has just jogged around the pitch. Made poor decisions and just generally looked completely off the pace and uninterested.  He needs to be sold.

He was poor. I'm not gonna give up on him after on bad cameo.

Give him a few starts and i will asses him.
