TrinityRoadSteps
Well if you wanted to bury the ghost of Benteke thats a pretty good way to do it. I have a feeling this guy is going to be huge for us.
AndyM3000
Players like him are vital in the modern game. You need players who can be physical and hold the ball up and keep the pressure off the rest of the team. Surround him with attacking pacy wingers/full backs and a balanced midfield and we are sorted.
Mantis
What's with our strikers scoring on their debuts anyway? Happens so often (not that I'm complaining!)
TrentVilla Posted August 8, 2015 Moderator Share Posted August 8, 2015 I knew he would score today, top scorer this season absolutely no doubt.

Guest av1
Martin Laursen was probably the last player we had at b6 who attacked balls like that. With him and Richards i think we will, for the first time in long time be a real threat from set pieces.
Spoony
Made me laugh: Iain Macintosh @iainmacintosh 1 hr1 hour ago Gestede is coming on for Villa. The equivalent of throwing a pick-up truck through a stained glass window. So what chants did he get???

avfc1982am
15 goals this season for us. We will be seriously dangerous from set pieces this year with Rudy, Richards and Clark.
daggy_333
Sherwood-“You can adore Gestede because he looks so good as well! He’s a big menacing guy and he doesn’t give centre backs a minute’s rest." Serious man love there from our Tim!
StanBalaban
Shrewd business Bournemouth 0-1 AstonVilla Chris Sutton Former Aston Villa legend on Final Score Rudy Gestede is the best at what he does in the country. People can't handle him. He went for £6m and people are talking about £12m for Jordan Rhodes. It doesn't make sense.

VillaChris
Him v Romero and Daley Blind should be fun next week. A rare event, I'm looking forward to a game v Man. United.
nobler
There was something quite satisfying about seeing a good, old fashioned striker's header absolutely buried amongst a crowd of players.
