Also says we are after Adebayor.

"He is in the country and we are looking forward to getting Jordan on board."

And Abebayor could be next in for Villa, with Wilkins making it clear the unwanted Tottenham striker would be welcome at the Midlands club.

Asked if there is a chance of landing the Togo international, he said: "I think there is.

"I can only talk for myself, but I'm hoping there is because when Adebayor wants to play he is extremely effective.

"He knows the Premier League inside out, so he would be a good addition for us."

apparently he said it on Talksport this morning in an interview

He said, “He’s in the country the medical hasn’t been done up to now, but we are just waiting upon that.  So he’s in the country and we’re looking forward to getting Jordan on board.”  Last part makes me feel it's pretty close to being done.

Edit: This was 9am today.

That's a lot of information. We are not used to that sort of thing.

Am I the last one to realise he is Abedi Pele's son?  Yes, I probably am.

I've never heard of Abedi Pele. Do I beat you to the boobie prize?
