Didn't you literally just sarcastically ask if the window was still open to another poster? So it's ok to say it looks likely a player wont leave but not that no more will be arriving? I said he almost certainly won't because both Lambert and his agent have said he won't be. Has Lambert said we won't be doing anymore deals? There's a difference there and you know it. It's all money money money these days. I guess leaving Utd would be a huge decision for any player who has come through their youth ranks, I don't blame him for waiting around to make sure he gets the right deal. Anyone has the right to get the best financial deal they can, if nobody wants to offer it to him then he has to have a re-think. Bastard Elvis was an Elvis impersonator on the Vegas circuit back in the day. His shtick was that he was a bit of a bastard. He played to small casinos well away from the main strip, but brought in enough money to keep him and the casinos happy. Unfortunately he got in a little trouble with the law after exiting a house of ill repute one morning and driving into a small fountain. They found an amount of cocaine on his person and he went to prison for a little while. In prison he found that he could keep himself relatively rape free by performing his Bastard Elvis act for the inmates on the first Sunday of every month, but also by playing for the prison soccer team, in his full Elvis get-up of course. He was a tidy little player and one of the inmates knew Harry Redknapp and suggested that he might be one to watch, even though he was at this point in his mid 30s. Harry came over to watch him, and also to take in a Celine Dion show, and was impressed by both. Once he he was released from prison Harry tried to sign him, but because of his criminal record they couldn't get a passport for him, never mind a work permit.
