America keeps on rollin' back to the dark ages.

Donald Trump's government has issued a ruling that allows employers to opt out of providing free birth control to millions of Americans.

The rule allows employers and insurers to decline to provide birth control if doing so violates their "religious beliefs" or "moral convictions".

Is this bloke desperate for war? BBC

"Only one thing will work" in dealing with North Korea after years of talks with Pyongyang brought no results, US President Donald Trump has warned.

"Presidents and their administrations have been talking to North Korea for 25 years," he tweeted, adding that this "hasn't worked".

War tends to be good for ratings. Which he needs. Also, Trump is all about the look of thing, and conflict is the ultimate prestige moment for many politicians in history.

He's also stupid.

He's a classic narcissist.

On his comment about previous administrations accomplishing nothing over the last 25yrs, I'd say the avoidance of world war 3 is at least one thing their "talking" may have accomplished.

I worry that Trumps idea of success may be slightly different.

I think he's an ardent fan of the 'madman theory' of international relations, first espoused by Richard Nixon, and which he (Trump) complimented several times on the campaign trail.

It's a shit model, and very high-risk, low-reward, but then again he's a game show host and an idiot who is not in any way prepared or mentally qualified for the job, so what else should we expect, really.

Given how quickly Pence got a statement out on his twitter feed, it was probably planned, knowing full well some players would be kneeling.

Also, Richard Spencer and his band of Nazi scum turned up again in Charlottesville last night, but Trump and Pence have been quiet on that one...

The plot thickens

Hate to point it out Stefan but at todays game he was wearing a suit so that tweet from alt_uscic is a fake pic.

Plenty of speculation and things pointing to a staged event however. e.g. Pence last went to a Colts game 3 years ago. Yesterday Pence was in Las Vegas, flew to Indiana seemingly for this game, and is now on his way back to the West Coast for a fundraiser. (The tax payer picking up the tab for all of his travel.)

Erm well... PENCE HIMSELF tweeted that 2nd tweet. So Pence is tweeting out fake info.

In fact, the exact point being made by alt_uscic is that Pence tweeted out the same picture 3 years apart.

Oh wow - well that's truly bizarre - On the news segments he's wearing a suit.

He definitely colluded with Trump before - Trump tweeted that he told him to leave if anyone kneeled (which of course they knew was going to happen.)

On the tweet thing, it's a man looking forward to going to an event and showing a picture of himself the last time he went to the event as a way of saying how much he's looking forward to it - I don't think there's anything untoward in it.

Leaving after the anthem makes him a bit of a dick.
