One of the warmest Saturdays of the year and im going to sit in my bedroom pretending to be a forensic accountant trying to create a rivalry with the biggest club in the Midlands whilst mommy takes photos of me.

What a sausage!

It’s amazing how much he riles people up :D

I'd say people are taking the p out of him rather than getting riled up.

Just seen Raul Jimenez got injured and out for a while.

Obviously not the force he was pre injury but seems Wolves are very light there now. Loaned Silva to Anderlecht in last week and presume Hwang went back after his very underwhelming second half of the season so have they got an actual CF in their squad? Or will they just try to false 9 it with combination of Adama, Neto, Podence?

Can really see them having a mediocre start to the season after way they finished last one and Lage probably getting sacked before world cup starts.

Dunno, they can argue that they paid for his potential and given his age he's still got plenty of time to fulfill it, he's also been deep ended when not ready due to jimenez and this loan probably should have been last season

Then trying to judge his potential... He was really highly rated on FM before wolves signed him, he did have the record for portos youngest ever player thanks to scoring a lot of goals at youth level for a good porto youth team*

The Mendes fees don't help but if he was a Liverpool reserve player and Bournemouth paid thay much for him would anyone say anything?

*looked it up, he won the UEFA youth competition with Porto, the top scorer in the competition that season was Chelseas Charlie Brown, he's now at Cheltenham

Yeah, but £35m is a lot. For a player that hardly played. Joao Felix is another. Vastly overpriced. Seems to be a common thing with Portuguese players.

They bought hwang

Bonatini and Crutone are back from their loans

Said in the other thread they've got depth problems imo

Hwang looked quite decent early on in the season, some nicely well taken goals but his form quickly nosedived and not rated at all by their fanbase.

Incredible Bonatini's still there as seems he's been on loan ever since they got promoted four years back. Some story if he now has to start early prem games as their CF.

Some amusing team selections here!

Surely Fabio Silva was some sort of fraud? Up there with Bebe.

Thanks to a few "favours" by Mendes Wolves were promoted and solidified in the PL.

Porto (to whom Mendez is very close) were in financial trouble due to Covid and needed quick cash to the tune of around 35 million euros. Wolves buy one of their "promising" youngsters for a similar amount (and pay Mendes a hefty negotiating fee),.

I don't think Felix was overpriced - he just went to the wrong team.

He is incredible.
