Con
I don't see the point in giving gabby stick. We know his limitations and his strengths. We know he's not good enough to play for bigger teams and we know he's a very important player for us. He is good enough to play for the biggest teams as a squad player. They'd use him exclusively in away games.
myko
I for one think Gabby's natural goal scoring instinct and world class technique shone through tonight!
Bunnski
Stick him on the wing ffs. Shocking again tonight
foreveryoung
Top man is Gabby. But tonight you mugged it. Bring him on as a impact second half from now on!

benireduk
Benteke put it on a plate for him. I cannot fathom what's going through his head. If he'd have made the keeper work, you'd forgive him but to do what he did....unforgivable in our predicament. He does not deserve to walk straight back into our team. He was woeful on Saturday and just as poor tonight.
supernova26
Winger not a striker, but we all know this.
RimmyJimmer
Winger not a striker, but we all know this. Er no. He's a striker every day of the week.
meregreen
Winger not a striker, but we all know this. No, he's a striker. Some of us know he simply isn't a very good one.
foreveryoung
I more hope he could be classed as a winger. Cause 3 goals all season for a striker is pathetic, Heskey kinda pathetic!
Bunnski
He doesn't have a good enough touch to play as a striker. Its blindingly obvious that he suits the winger role better. He gets more space and the extra bit of time he gets is exactly what he needs due to his bad touch and lack of composure. He also has a decent cross on him.
AndyM3000
He's a sprinter, not a footballer. That is why he was signed. If we ever want to create a footballing side he will have to go.
ForfarVillan
Most folk on here claiming he should be getting an England call up last week.
lexicon
Off the boil yesterday unfortunately - I think that's a lot to do with not being fully ready after injury though, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
GasGasGas
Has been quite rubbish ever since his return. Miscontrolled a through ball from Weimann for a clear chance, basically invisible against West Ham, rather invisible today as well and inexplicably failed to shoot despite Benteke gloriously playing him through 1 on 1. Danishlad
First touch was poor yesterday, but only a couple of weeks ago he totally destroyed Liverpool. Short memories some people have.
villaglint
Gabby has never been consistent - top class when he;s on it and pretty ineffectual when he's not. Should obviously have buried the one glaring chance but a few minutes before that Weimann put him in a great position to shoot and again his first touch let him down. i'll be generous and say hes not fit/playing through pain. AVFCAM
Crazy how people forget how Gabby has been one of our consistent performers this year.
Nabby
Hopefully 2 10 day break will give him time to fully recover and find touch again , has been poor last 2 games
Tomaszk
Aside from that total flop in front of goal, which left me on the floor, he was OK last night. When the ball went near him he either held it up or had a run at someone. He's had much worse games.
