  1. https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2018/05/18/championship-play-off-final---aston-villa-ticket-update/ will be plenty left on Sunday
  2. I had to type in my season card number which is on the back. Not the long number on the front. Once I did this it went through fine
  3. Three hours after the game and still incredibly pi$$ed off! Third away game on the spin that we’ve looked lacklustre. Will be typical Villa if we go and beat Cardiff on Tuesday.
  4. I’m thinking something along the lines of you buy the new shirt and when the following seasons shirt is released, you can take the old one back for ‘recycling’ and in turn get a discount off the new shirt.
  5. Seems more interested in moaning at referees to get opponents booked at the moment. Need the Jack who was instrumental v Wolves back asap
  6. I drive to the vast majority of home games and I’ve got to be honest, I never have much trouble getting away. Usually park on the housing estate just off the park junction on the expressway. Its 20mins walk from the ground, but takes about 15mins to get on the Expressway and then no issues.
  7. Can you please ask where the European Cup commentary banner on the North Stand has gone? looks odd without that being there....
  8. Not good enough today, but on the positive side we’ve rested some players for next week and have players coming back from injury. On a side note, anyone else think the VP pitch is looking pretty poor at the moment? Quite a few players slipping over today and it was cutting up in some areas.
  9. Last night was completely unacceptable. I have been reluctant to call for Bruce to go, but my patience is now wearing thin. On one hand, you can argue that Bruce can do nothing about the individual errors from Whelan and Jedinak over the past few games. It’s ironic that those two were signed as experienced pro’s to offer consistency and sure things up. What you cannot deny is that the football under Bruce is turgid and with the players we have, we are capable of much better. Can’t see us getting anything at Boro now Pulis is in charge and possibly get a point against Bristol. Then would be a good time for Bruce to go with no league game until 13th. All very depressing.....again
  10. Disappointing is an understatement. Never looked like scoring despite have all our attacking midfielders on the pitch. Mention of Derby’s shithouse time wasting tactics as well. Players going down to stop us building any momentum and balls being kicked away when already out of play to waste even more time. Incredibly frustrating but then shouldn’t expect anything less from an ex-Small heath manager. need to improve and get back to winning ways fast!
  11. Frustrating day from the off. As others have mentioned, unbelievable strike for their goal, but blatant foul on Terry when the ball was lumped forward. Second goal was awful defending and no excuse there. A miserable first half culminated in the clearing in the woods next to me declaring “Bruce out! Garbage garbage garbage!” I have a season ticket and had to move to another seat after 30mins to get away from him. Second half we huffed and puffed and deserved a goal. Hogan really worries me. Was a massive opportunity for him to show what he’s capable of and he flopped. Can’t believe he scored as many as he did for Brentford. Never looks like scoring or contributing in any way. massive test for us now without JT. Really don’t fancy our chances with Samba filling in
  12. I think they do it on purpose to tire teams out. Agree that it’s very risky but don’t think it’s a coincidence they’ve scored so many late goals this season.
  13. Know this is a long shot, but if anyone has a spare I’d gladly take it off your hands
  14. Was that a right back putting in a decent cross that resulted in a goal?!? That will never catch on.
  15. Credit where it's due, he looked a Class above today. Exactly what I expected when he signed
  16. I think Terry is desperately trying to prove that he's still a top quality CB. He's taking to many risks instead of doing the simple thing. Do agree with an earlier post that Chester hasn't been as good as last season. Essentially what's happened is that we've ruined what was the strongest part of our team last season.
  17. Same old story with Gabby. Injured yet again. His body seems incapable of dealing with the rigours of being a professional footballer. His departure is long overdue.
  18. Still waiting for mine. Ticketing this season has been a shambles. Won't be happy if I have to go and get a duplicate before the game. Anyone else know what's going on? It's never been this bad
  19. Yes just called in. Sorted in about 30 seconds. Just didn't want to queue before the game Didn't ask if my ST had been posted to be honest. Sod's law it will turn up tomorrow now
  20. Mine hasn't arrived today so have got paper ticket printed at the ticket office. Didn't want to potentially queue on Saturday. Luckily VP is only 5 mins from work. Oragnisation this time around has been awful. Understand that it's a supplier issue, but to have fans waiting for tickets 2 days before the first game is terrible.
  21. Picked up the home shirt. Exactly the same fit as last year. The kits from the Unibet tournament at BMH are definitely player issue. The version you buy in the shop doesn't have the side vents and isn't as tight fitting. Some nice UA gear again this season but a bit on the dear side
  22. Know it's still pre-season, but I am very concerned. I have seen little to no improvement on what we were producing at the end of last season. Bruce's last excuse was that he needed a pre-season with the players. Time is running out fast and we need a big improvement to get close to the playoffs, let alone the automatic places. Also question the merits of going to Germany for a tournament of 40 minute matches. What is the point?
  23. Not knocking Jedinak's contribution last season, but if we're going to get promoted we need to be more positive. Last season he was effectively a 5th defender and offered very little going forward. Granted that's not his game but there in lies the issue. We need players who can both get up and down the pitch. For me that means Lansbury and Hourihane. He was great last season and arguably held the team together after the squad overhaul, but can't see a starting place for him next season
