AVFCforever1991
Starting to look like a bit of a Gary Cahill. Let's not sell him this time..
dudevillaisnice
He does look promising but it is worrying that he seems to pick up a lot of injuries. has been an issue since he has been at the club.
flashingqwerty Posted October 26, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted October 26, 2012 agree he is better than clark at CB, but that mostly because Clark is a midfielder. clark is too good a footballer to play at centre back
KjParton
Worried that we haven't got neither Clark nor Baker for tomorrow :s

lexicon
Scary Could be worse. Lowton did well at CB against Fulham and Lichaj is defensively pretty solid at FB, it's when he tries to work as a WB that he gets unstuck.
Rodders
lichaj is also more comfortable on the right than the left so it's not too bad.

GarethRDR
Factoid of the day: this season, when Nathan Baker's been on the pitch at centre-back we haven't conceded.
Zatman
he looked Laursen-like at times in the Reading box last night and unlucky not to score. I like him as a defender as he didnt mind roughing up Le FOndre or Roberts
smetrov
Factoid of the day: this season, when Nathan Baker's been on the pitch at centre-back we haven't conceded. Pretty sure we have. Seem to remember him leaving a cross - only for an opposition player to tap in

CI
Baker was class last night. He's much stronger than Clark and seems to time his headers and tackles better. He's also pretty fast for a big lad. Could end up being a great academy product.
YLN
I didn't think he was that good last night. Couple of times he didn't clear his lines and Reading had a chance and on another occasion he let the ball bounce over his head, thinking that Guzan was behind him and had to rely on Clark to save the day. Obviously not conceding is a sign of him doing his job well, but there were definitely moments of inexperience. Not a classic centre back performance, but definitely promising. cudoz
There were a couple of shaky moments, but I thought he had a good performance overall. I do get worried everytime he tackles though, as at least once a game he seems to stay down or limp around for a few minutes.
GarethRDR
I do feel calmer when he's in the team. Not absolutely 100% chilled, like, but calmer. Like listening to one of those babbling brooks/whale song albums but aware it'll end at some point, and the 'repeat all' button is broken.
