But Fonz was not good at all, and made a right **** up of the one chance we had at 2-2, Lichaj burning down the outside ready to cross for Young and he delayed delayed....d e l a y e d, then gave him a stinker. Then stood around for a bit before deciding to get back and help.
I know the one you're talking about, and while it wasn't a great pass it was also a matter of Lichaj losing concentration and not expecting the pass when it came.

Fonz? 0 cost us the game the lazy bell end

are you for real ?

yes i am, thanks for asking

are you?

i will know if you are or not if you try and say that fonz provided anything other than negativeness today.

or if you try and defend his attitude today

or if you try and come up with excuses for his shitness today

or if you dont think the whole game turned on him coming on and gabby going off

Proud of the lads today . I **** hate manure with a passion

This.

Not sure how Brown stays on the pitch - oh wait, he wears a ManUre badge. That explains it.

If we are going to beat ManUre we need to start thinking like them. Why we take the foot off their neck for the last 15 minutes of games I really don't know.

That aside, clearly the better team for 80 minutes. Signs are looking good.

would you after all that time wasted?

Superb performance from our youth team vs United first team. Gutted to throw it away in last 10 mins, but I would have taken a point at the start of the day. Thought Bannan in particular was exceptional - puts some of our "first team" performances against United in the past to shame. Hogg looked comfortable too, despite giving the ball away a few times.

I think the pain that comes from this draw is the fact its Man Yoo, who constantly benefit from favourable decisions from the officials, I'd feel less badly if it was Chelsea or Arsenal. We should definitely be proud of the young lads regardless.

I think Mr Capello would have had his first non-viagra related erection in 15 years watching Downing and Albrighton.

When I saw Hogg's name on the team sheet today I realised the true depth of our injury crisis and to be honest I feared we would get battered. Even at half time I thought Utd would pick up an arsey goal at the death to win it. I can't say I am rapt about the draw but I feel incredibly upbeat about the way the boys have played today.

I thought Young and Warnock were great today - Luke Young has really been on the angry pills lately and comes up with some ripping tackles - it won't be long before he gets red carded but in the meantime I am enjoying his no more mr nice guy routine.

Young and Collins are my only real concern with this lot at the moment. I think at the moment they are like two battleships in a swimming pool - just seem to lack flexibility or agility to deal with anything that's a little unpredictable. I think we need a more agile defender in there and if Cuellar will be out of contention - for any reason - Houllier should consider re-calling Curtus Davies.

Am i gutted? No im not. Yeah we were 2-0 up with 10 mins to go, but this is United and a pretty strong United team. We battered them in the second half. Hit the woodwork 3 times and missed a couple of good chances. Brown and Nani(the guy who crossed for the equaliser) definitely should have gone, but we are playing United, we shouldn't expect anything else. We were excellent in the second half, as good ive seen us play in some time.

Frielel - 7. Didn't have a lot to do.

L.Young - 7. Did well on the right.

Warnock - 8. I dont like him, but he was very good today. Nani got no change out of him.

Collins - 7. Looks shaky at the moment. Its like Dunne's rubbing off on him. But still pretty good.

Dunne - 7. Almost back to his best, but was really shaky in the first 20 mins or so.

Albrighton - 8.5. A goal and ripped Evra to shreds at times. He is a fantastic player he really is.

Hogg - 6. I dont know, i only really noticed him when he gave the ball away.

Bannan - 8. Keeps the ball well, and is quite strong for wee little player.

Downing - 9. FANTASTIC.

Young - 7. First half 5, second half 9.

Gabby - 7. Showed in the second half what we had been missing. Blew the cobwebs off after an average first half. Great to have him back, he makes us a better side.

Houllier -9. We had nothing on the bench, and it was Man Utds subs that changed the game IMO. Good stuff, some great football in the second half.

The Ref - 4. Weak, having given us the penalty Brown should have walked(where have o herd that before), and Nani should have gone for his elbow.

Im still happy though, we've just got to learn how to keep hold of a lead.

Should have won the match, i still can't quite believe it now.

I thought Downing, A.Young, Albrighton and Bannan played very well, Collins was also very good again. Downing man of the match for me.

I can't believe how poor Delfouneso was though. Before their first goal, one of the United defenders had the ball and for some reason Fonz decides to run beside him, all he has to do is stand there in front of him and stop him from making a foward pass. That happens then there's a period of United pressure where they had about two corners and end up equalizing. Just before the second goal, Villa clear it and Delfouneso isn't there, A.Young chases after it, they pass it out wide and who's at the right-back position, Delfouneso! Then they get the cross in and score.

Then we finally make a break, Fonz is on the ball, delays the pass and then passes it but over hits it.

Some might wonder what im on about here, but if you rewatched you'd see what i mean. If Agbonlahor hadn't of gone off, i think we would have won. Never looked like scoring after he went off either.

Good performance - Felt like MON was back

What?!

I presume he means us surrendering a two goal lead. If not, **** knows! I was rarely so entertained by a Villa performance under he-who-shall-not-be-named-because-of his-perfidy.

If that word removed had to play Utd with a team like that I can guarantee we wouldn't have played like that or got that result.

For a start Petrov would have been playing in a cast :D

Haha....You win comment of the day!!

thats why i didnt celebrate when we went 2-0 up.....

its just all too predictable with villa...

if we are giving our young side credit for playing very well and going 2-0 up against man utd then we have to be critisized for **** it up royally.....

dunno whats wrong with us this season...im sure we'd be first if we actually won every time weve been in a winning position this season.....

dont get me wrong im extremely proud of our performance but i **** hate seeing us **** up our good work so often....

oh and downing was awesome...thought he was better than marc who got MOM

I wrote this off as a loss before the game, so I'm pleased with a point, if not slightly disappointed as it could have been three. Got to say though, the performance was exceptional. Downing, Albrighton and Bannan were all absolutely top class. There was one pass from Bannan at around 20 mins that would be replayed again and again had a United player made it.

On another day it could have been four or five, it was only the woodwork and some very biased refereeing that stopped United from getting a hammering today.

This season will be an up and down one, no doubt, but the future is looking very, VERY bright under GH.

Agbonlahor was struggling for 15 mns before he went off.

Cant risk keeping him on and getting another injury.

In that 15 minutes before he went off, he won us a penalty and hit the post.

Although i think he doesn't look like he's back to full fitness yet, but despite that he brings alot to the team for the time he was on the pitch.

It turned out to be the wrong decision to bring him off for Delfouneso.

Am I allowed to say i'm really gutted?

I have to say I havent seen the game. But at 2-0 will 10 minutes to play at home against a Utd team which isnt exactly that good and to end up drawing 2-2 is so annoying.

I by reading on here the young lads did really well, and I doff my cap to them, but our defence which consists on 2 bulky **** numbskulls is our undoing game after game.

I always feel so much better when Cuellar is at CB. He's alot calmer, you wouldnt see him **** up a clearance in his own box like Dunne has a few times this season... **** lardarse.

I'd love to be positive about the game, but we've totally thrown it away..again.

I am posting from my phone in a stolen five minutes I have, so apologies of this has been covered.

Why was Vidic spared a second yellow for jumping in with the fans? Ash got booked for jumping in with the fans ten minutes earlier.
