villa4europe
Yeah looks a good player, ivanovic has been very good 1st 2 games though, I spose he can cover CB too I think they are a good striker away from having a brilliant squad, better than utds already IMO

Daniel
It only sounds expensive to those that haven't a **** clue and can't piece together why he will be so vital for us... Sunderland fans don't care what price they paid for him. I think we were the same at the time. We were getting 6th every season, so there was no need to worry about our finances. The_Rev
It will be interesting to see where Adam Johnson's career goes from here. I don't think I have ever known a player who has been made to look so good so often by the failure of others as him.
Mantis
Sunderland have spent over £20m on Fletcher and Johnson. Don't get me wrong, they'd walk into our side, but the money paid is on the steep side, especially for Fletcher. They're probably on high wages too. Newcastle have proven that you don't necessarily need to spend massive fees to get in quality players. I really don't know why MON buys almost exclusively from one league. VillaChris
I think Johnson's a really good signing actually, fully expected him to go to Spurs or Liverpool so think that's a coup for Sunderland. Him, Fletcher, Sessengon, McClean and Larsson, more chance of scoring goals and their defence is fairly solid so think they'll be 8th or 9th this season. Voinjama
Not following football too closely these days, but did villa bid for man citys johnson? If not, then that is a mistake, he is a great player.
DeepDish
Norwich has signed former Rosenborg midfielder Alexander Tettey (26) from Rennes. Will be a decent signing. When former Tippeligaen (Norwegian League) players like Somen Tschoy and Paul Scharner can make a living in the Premier League, I am sure that Tettey also have a chance. Voinjama
Johnson is the type of player the club should be trying to sign. He would add quality to the squad and he is gettable (I think I have invented a new word). I know Sunderland is where he started, but if he would go there then........ jon_c
Sinclair to City. Another wasted England potential sitting on the bench at a big club.
AVFCforever1991
Sinclair, Johnson. These are the types of players we are screaming out for.. Or Ince,Phillips from blackpool, or Wilfried Zaha from Palace..
VillaGoMarching
if a player is happy to go and bench warm at City, then he's not the type of player i want at Villa. Utter dickheads.

Voinjama
Sinclair is a decent player, but I dont think he is quite good enough for a team that is looking to win the league or champions league. How many goals did he get for Swansea last season? Furthermore I dont think he is better then Aguero, Balotelli, Dzeko or Tevez who now looks to be staying. So he will probably be 5th choice and only play in th league cup. Career suicide for him, but at least he will be sorted ££££ wise.
