The main issue is that there's no context to the games. Random team plays random team in a 3-5 test match series. Who cares. Only the ashes is of any interest. Hornso
West Indies are currently triggering some bad memories. Turn on to watch the test match and they are in a Macron kit with Dafabet as the main sponsor.

Tests, ODI's and T20's in whichever order. It now just seems that England will have a test series against a team, then two or three days later they're playing another nation in ODI's and T20's. Avfc96
Got to feel for Hartley here, 0-25 off your first two overs in test cricket. Scrimshaw got similar treatment in the summer, but he was playing Ireland and was bound to get a wicket at some point and did so. Kerrigan MK2. Villan_of_oz Posted January 26 VT Supporter Share Posted January 26 (edited) Things starting to look ugly for the English if they don't take a few quick wickets. You don't want be trail by 100+ after the first innings on this pitch... Edited January 26 by Villan_of_oz
Avfc96
Seems like Wood is injured. Almost like playing the most injury prone seamer of the past 10 years as a sole quick wasn't a good idea.
Rodders
It'll be 5-0 India. Save your sleep. Their spinners are so much better than ours. We also had no warm up matches at all.
Zatman
Ben Duckett said at close of play yesterday that England were in a great position. Deluded
Villan_of_oz Posted January 26 VT Supporter Share Posted January 26 (edited) India lead by 63 with 5 wickets in hand... The only thing England is in, is a lot of trouble... Meanwhile the West Indies are making Australia look a pretty silly in the test match and I'm enjoying watching it. PaulC
We pick 3 specialist spinners yet joe root was the most successful. Great knock from Pope
Milfner
Really good recovery lead by Pope. Gives us a slim chance at least. Need to add at least 100 tomorrow morning.
veloman
Is it true that Josh Cobb is going to Worcs ? I thought he could have job for Warks who are surely a bigger club; no disrespect to Worcs. I fear for Warks this Season.
theunderstudy
Remember when teams used to actually tour countries for test series rather than play like a warmup game then a 5-test series? Why is that not a thing any more? England should have been out there for ages playing Presidents XIs all over India

Rodders
Wow, what an effort from England. Pope with his best century ever there. And Hartley with three already. Got a decent chance of winning now. Would still back India but full credit... ... but does make you think, what if they'd had a couple of warm up matches beforehand, get some of Hartleys nerves out of the way there, get some of our batters more middle time
