They were complete shite and played into our hands but there are no negatives tonight. Great win, great performance and important to see some out of form players have good games.

We've been ropey performance-wise since the City/Arsenal double. Felt like a big result and performance was being cried out for to get things back on track so hopefully this has been the tonic whilst still being in the top 4 in the process.

What a performance until we decided to save the energy. Absolutely makes sense, but I wish we'd made a spectacle of it and properly smashed them. Then had a picnic in front of the dugout.

Normal (Unai) service has resumed. I hope that all the pessimists can take some heart from this. This is not "same old Villa."

After the first half, it was close between Ollie and Doug for MOTM, but Ollie stayed on second half, got another assist, and cleared a ball off the line, so I have to give it to him. Bailey could also have been in the conversation.

That said, as Doug goes, so goes the team. He made the first two goals and, after a mediocre stretch, was back to his best today. It was promising.
