Disappointing to not keep a clean sheet, but that was pretty bloody comfortable.

McGinn got my MotM, but Diaby was key, Teilemans impressed, and Konsa was a rock. Would have liked to see more chances for the bench, but in Emery we trust. Speaking of which...

I honestly just can't believe what Unai is doing here. I was optimistic for the season, but would have been **** delighted without another top 7 finish and a good run in the conference league, it'd have been our best season in 15 years, and a sure sign of progress. After that opening day and our injuries, the wind was out of my sails and I'd have been satisfied with another top half finish.

For it to be sensible to think we might qualify for the CL, with some key players yet to return a third of the way through the season...it's **** incredible. It's been a very long time since I dared to dream I might ever hear that champions league music in Villa Park. We might fall short, but how long has it been since we had a real sense of ambition?

to think, this exact time last season we were on 12 points, which would have us joint 16th this season, but instead we are on 25 points, and Emery is still averaging exactly 2 PPG over 37 PL games, madness.

Super John McGinn was immense today. Tielemans and Bailey also impressive. A comfortable victory really despite us not being at our best in that second half. 
 

We are two points off the top!!!!
