AVTuco Posted February 13, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted February 13, 2023 Ok, I was going to come here and commend Duran for having good potential, but it seems people here have gone nuts already. Well, it's ok, we're fans after all. No need to be realistic.
Herman22
When we take Bailey off and bring on Duran could there be a bigger difference in attitude and application. I think his enthusiasm should be rewarded with a start against Arsenal!

Lupinthe5th
He reminds me of a young Victor Osimhen who is now like a £100 + Striker
Jbvilla909
Won't get carried away but, I'm pretty certain he's the best striker we've had since Heskey... 1

Hank Scorpio
Give him a go against Arsenal.. quality opposition let's see how he goes. Can't be worse than Bailey right now.
Spoony
I do think everyone is getting a little too excited but I’d nevertheless start him against arsenal over Bailey. He literally can’t do any worse. If he misses a couple of sitters and tries to beat 3 men then fall over, strop and stop playing for a bit then fine he’s about on par.

His Dad said so.

The Fun Factory
I would like him to come on when we are not behind and chasing the game. Hopefully that will be the case on Saturday.

You've partially got to think.. if Butler is like this in public... he must torment the lad in private. lol Guaranteed he actually makes his Football life much harder, instead of whatever he thinks he's doing.

Yes but the sh*t Leon get’s because of him is unwarranted, people make Butler out like John Terry’s dad.

I was kind of trying to say I actually feel sorry for him, as i can imagine he gets grief and pressure from all sides.
gwi1890
What I like about him is that he seems adaptable enough to also play out wide, just by looking at size and stature you would only assume that he’s a traditional number 9 but he looks like he has the pace , skill and workrate to do a job out wide in this Emery system rather than pushing Ollie wide when both are on the pitch.
est1874
Sure he's hot shit now with the pressure off, but what happens tomorrow? Football is no ordinary world, I hope he doesn't come undone when the wild boys on this forum are out to get him.

DJBOB
Would still leave him out against arsenal. They have a top defense for a reason and bringing him on to be ineffective for 65 isn’t a good start.

To be fair, if you'd only ever watch Iheanacho against Villa you'd be forgiven for thinking he was a world beater.
catanzaro Posted February 14, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted February 14, 2023 I would love to see him play in the Watkins role.. just to see how he copes.. mind you, may be not against Arsenal..
