Nil composure. Will not put his foot on the ball and calm things down. Either arse out fall over or pass back to the real skipper.

Or give away a foul.

He was soooo good in the Championship, but he's just not at the level we need. He's not scored for 9 months either.

Palace are a great example of how a team can be greater than the sum of its parts.

On paper you’d probably only take 2/3 of their players in our 11. I really struggle to see what our gameplan is and it’s been like this for quite some time.

Indeed. Unfortunately we have been weaker than the sum of our parts for about 12 years now, possibly now more than ever.

It's because they have a manager who's been slowly honing his craft and has a clear identity as a result. He's had just 3 more months with his team.

Yellow card an excuse to take off the Captain maybe?

It’s never gonna happen, I wouldn’t get your hopes up sadly.

We actually could though.

All the newly promoted sides look a hundred times more composed than us, they have a purpose, a direction, systems of play etc.

We will struggle massively along with Everton and Southampton IMO.

theoretically yes, but are you really worried about this on the third round? really?

Against Palace? Still the best we've played under Gerrard and that was his second game

Konsa, McGinn, Ramsey, Cash and Digne need to buck their ideas up.

The problem is Gerrards plan involves everything through Digne and Cash and crossing to our midgets, entirely bypassing the midfield and them having to cover leaving the last third empty
