Probably a knee jerk reaction but **** me Gerrard is out of his depth here. Getting dragged in to another relegation dog fight. We have signed some absolute shite for big money. Club regressing again.

We’ve singed quality we just can’t get the best out of them

Manager said he’d ring the changes, didn’t, and performance was predictably poor.

Young at RB by choice not injury is ridiculous, but the problem is our midfield. Rapidly concluding that Luiz & McGinn will be off, and Sanson too given his inability to get a game when those in his position are losing game after game.

Not fun.

Moment Luiz came off for Watkins we lost the number in midfield then Buendia and Bailey filling in at centre midfield

Went 2 up top with a 2 man midfield with a 3rd of the game to play 😂.  Steve Bruce can make the same tactical decision for a 1/10th of the salary. What are we paying him for?

Oh my word! Anyone else get a Genting Casino vibe about our play? It'd be a bad day at the office if this team played like this for one game, but this at least the 3rd/4th game on the trot where we've been diabolical.

Looks to me like Gerrard has been found out.

His tactics don't work in a competitive league and he's either too inexperienced to too afraid to make changes.

Big words after Newcastle that changes would be wrung and he made 1 - pathetic.  Not nearly as pathetic as the teams performance.

Too many players going through the motions because they know they'll get picked regardless.

Yet again, subbing Buendia killed our play. He's the only engine we have and the only player up for the scrap.

John McGinn did little but lose the ball and/or play long diagonals. He's utterly predictable on the ball and too static off it.

Using Ashley Young as anything other than emergency backup is a wasted sub. He just doesn't have the legs.

Watkins + Ings still doesn't work.

Watford did exactly what they came here to do and Gerrard played right into their hands in the second half. Real lack of nous on display. Better get going quick or we're going to wind up mired in a serious battle, and I don't think we have the bottle.

(Ref was also shite but that's to be expected.)
