Bissouma played in a strangely advanced role and was almost a number 10 for a lot of the time. Guinea offered very little and Mali dominated (his energy and mobility contributed to that domination) until Bissouma was substituted on 70 minutes. Mali tailed off after that although they were always comfortable, and there was very little from both teams until penalties decided it in Guineas favour. Points to note: Bissouma is an athlete and a physical presence. He presses even in equatorial conditions and he made 2 key passes after good penalty box work which were blasted over the bar by Haidara and Camara (Camara should have definitely scored). His passing wasn't the best and he gave the ball away a couple of times and didn't look as comfortable in and around the box (apart from two cracking moves) as he does in his normal CDM position. I'm probably stupid to even get involved in this again, but the bold really isn't a thing. He normally plays as a box to box ball winner in a 2 - very much not a politically disciplined CDM.
