That was embarrassing. If Nakamba, Young and Ghazi are Villa starters then we are bang in trouble this season.

Blame lies with Smith can't hide behind excuses. No team has had the perfect pre season.

If Nakamba can play for Villa so can I

Bailey looks good, Bertie is sharp, McGinn’s played very well. Konsa’s been a rock a very poor defence. Young good.

It’s not all bad, but clearly not the start we hoped for either.

We need a direct replacement for Nakamba (Doucoure hopefully) and a senior 8 to play next to McGinn. That might be Sanson when he’s fit, JWP would great though.

It’s going to take a while to find our rhythm, but we will.

It was obvious after the first goal we had a problem  that was going to cost us. But as usual we did nothing to address this until it cost us again.

That is a very dangerous thing to say...without considereing the possible consequences of it, if it continues.

1 player.

You made the point about spend. We sold our best player, and bought 3 players who weren’t future ballon d’or winners.

Hate to say it but McGinn remains a big problem in this side. Any sort of intricate link up play, he ruins.

sadly, he is not good enough for what we want.
