MrSmirch
Relegate them to the bottom tier. Spurs and Arsenal should be riddled with imposter syndrome.

Popular Post magnkarl
As per usual the Bundesliga giants are holding their nose at the money grabbers. Bayern stating that it's going to be counter productive to the very fabric of football, Dortmund not even bothering turning up to the meetings. Time to implement much stricter 'home grown' rules in our own league. 4 foreign players allowed max, 5 homegrown players required. Make the clubs sell half of their shares to fans.
BleedClaretAndBlue
Tottenham When did they last win a league or European title. Desperate for money pathetic club. I love how they’re all signing up for this and it will just blow up in their faces. That statement from UEFA was pretty clear. All clubs are out for themselves, granted but this is like selling your soul with complete disregard to your roots.

Imagine the betting markets. All these a**hole speculators at JP Morgan getting returns on x number of fouls, cards, goals. It would be nothing but an exercise in profitability. The sporting equivilant of a never ending highlight reel. Getting Beckham and others out of retirement etc for the spectacle. Tommo_b
So half of the 12 teams that signed up are from the Premier League... that’s embarrassing. 1
magnkarl
Looking at Ole's face I can't imagine he's going to be happy with this. Neither is SAF. They've properly made their own beds, haven't they?
a m ole
Easy solution - Premier League tell them they can compete in that league under their current club brand and business, but they can only register players for one competition.

Sulberto21
Ah who cares not like we were ever going to win the league again. At least we'll stand a chance now. Be like the really old 80's,90's and 00's again.

They're not even in Arsenals league globally.
villalad21
Any English club signing up for this should be kicked out of the domestic league.

Just like it was before money poisoned football.

MikeMcKenna Posted April 18, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted April 18, 2021 Sadly this has been coming for years. They need to be told to **** off, kicked out of the PL and their players be banned from national teams. Way back in 2008/9 some may recall that there was a group in the PL calling for the end of relegation. At the time is was reported Lerner was involved, although he denied it I heard he, Glazer et al were the main movers. Basically the billionaire owners have been trying to corner the top flight of English football for years and it now seems inevitable.

Sulberto21
On a serious note it's going to be boring very quickly. Playing the same teams over and over again. But then again the general population are pretty thick so they'll lap it up.
