I was there when we beat L’pool 5-1 in 1977. The first half of that game was the best I have ever seen. But tonight’s performance was definitely the best in the last 43 years.

Astonishing. And it should have been better. Everyone was brilliant.
Even conceding 2, I thought the defensive effort was great - they just went gung ho, and with the talent they've got, they we're always going to score.

The players never stopped - which kills off the argument that Dean should've played a better team against Stoke.

This is just recency bias, but I don't remember the last time I was this happy with a performance. Obviously was happier with the result when we were promoted, but this performance was something else.

Wife insisted on date night tonight so I couldn't watch the game. Genuinely stared dumbstruck at the BBC sport page for about twenty seconds when I saw the result just now. Absolutely gutted I missed it.

Absolutely brilliant. McGinn and Grealish took the absolute piss out of their midfield. Watkinho could have had 5, Barkley 4, Grealish took that second goal like Zidane. Konsa and Mings brilliant.
