Playing for Argentina is much more than playing in the Champions League. Arrogant European fans who always bash international football dont realise how important it is for others. Its also in the agreed international window so I doubt the club have any power

The issue for me is the timing of that last game, that was a **** up by Conmebol

They are paid millions by their clubs and their actions will cause them to miss a lot of games. They should be fined heavily for that.

fine them for not breaking any rules? Union would destroy them in court as its an official international window

Yes, they are paid handsomely to play for Aston Villa and they are dropping us in the shit.

Agreed in respect that for many South American players internationals are the priority.

Still doesn’t change the fact we are his employer and it’s massively **** us over.

They wont though and is a FIFA international window, they arent rebelling.

Will be fun on here in January when we lose more players to the African Nations Cup

Hopefully some compromise can be reached (not sure if that is possible but hope for it anyway).

They can’t expect to leave knowing they could miss around ten games and not expect some fall out from that decision.

but they arent doing it intentionally. Conmebol and FIFA arranged these games and British government is forcing them to quarantine

Buendia for example might never get another Argentina cap

There’s a few fixtures in March as well so would presumably miss those also. Pretty crucial really. I’m guessing city and PSG will also be missing a bunch of players.

Has Luiz not been selected for Brazil?

Argentina's last game is 10/09, so by the time he's back he'll miss Chelsea, Everton and Chelsea (LC) through Quarantine, he'd be available for Man Utd, but would likely only have about 1 day training after 10 sat in a hotel room, then back for Spurs, but then there's another international break so it's the same shit again, missing Wolves and Arsenal through quarantine and barely any training before West Ham and Southampton, another international break where he'd miss Brighton and Palace, potentially Man City. So at least 7 through quarantine, but possibly up to 12 plus any more League Cup games due to lack of match fitness and about 20-ish days missed training.

Why are people saying no Emi for 10+ games?
