With him and Traore both just back from injury, Bailey injured, AEG out of form The formation change was a (good) necessity.

I'm not sure you make the 19 Year old the only winger on the bench and change the formation for him to come on. Maybe some minutes Vs Spurs..

Then 2 weeks off during international break we'll see JPB, Traore and Bailey all back for Wolves. Buendia training with them all too and suddenly we have more formation options actually available to us and the game time will come flooding back for JPB. There was no hint of him being sent on loan before his injury and nobody else has stepped up in his absence so see no reason why he'd be loaned now. Just being sensible with him.

I find it odd that this kid has barely had a sniff, especially during the months where Bailey was injured. Would like to see him involved a bit more.

I think he's had a couple of injury setbacks during the period as well to be fair. Possibly at the worst times as well.

I don't think he's even fifth choice, Bailey, Traore, Buendia, El Ghazi, Trezeguet, would all likely to be picked ahead of him, and then as we've already seen this season players who aren't even wide forwards like Jacob Ramsey, Watkins, Ings, and Ashley Young get picked ahead of him, Carney Chukwuemeka has come off the bench to play as part of the front three ahead of him as well, to be honest I think Archer would be ahead of him as well.

In terms of the style of player that he is, he's not really an old fahsioned winger in the sense of one that runs down the line whipping in crosses, for the U23s he'd play on the left cutting inside onto his right foot, and he's not just about pace, he's got good trickery and vision, so I think he could play as one of the 'No.10s' in Gerrard's system.

I don't think we should get too fixated on the idea that Gerrard always plays with two 'No.10s' anyway, at Rangers Ryan Kent, very much a winger, played most games; the wide forwards play narrower, but a player doesn't have to be some sort of specialist no.10 to play as one of the wide forward's in Gerrard's system, most modern day wingers should be able to play it.

Something that never seems to get talked about is his slight build, whereas with Barry it seems to get brought up often as being a barrier to him getting first team football, Philogene-Bidace is even smaller and slighter, maybe that plays a part in others getting selected ahead of him at the moment. In an ideal world I'd have Buendia, Traore, and Bailey ahead of him, with him as fourth choice, perhaps alternating with Carney.

But as it stands probably needs a loan, unless we let Trezeguet and El Ghazi go, and maybe send Archer out on loan instead, in that scenario there might be more of a chance to give him more game time.

With both Traore and Trezeguet off to AFCON, Bailey still injured and AEG potentially moving to West Ham we might see him soon.

Leeds would be a good game to get him a cameo in.

Him and Chuk are like best mates. Both have flirted with the idea of moving to different clubs and both are big talents. We should be looking to keep them both very happy and with minutes.

Not only that, JPB started the season better than Chuk, he deserves a chance imo.

I am surprised he is not getting in ahead of Traore and Treseguet. Get him out on loan if he is not going to be used.

I reckon SG wants to see his senior players in action ahead of the transfer windows in January and the summer.

JPB could do with a loan for the remainder of the season to gain experience and game time

I think a loan would be a good idea for him and his development - he's possibly a little hampered right now with the AFCON meaning he might need to be kept around for cover.

Probably have a move lined up for the end of the window to a League 1 club. So when Trez and Traore are back he could go.

If at end of the month we've a fit Watkins, Ings, Carney, Bailey, Young, Buendia, Traore, Trez, AEG and JPB I can see the last three in the list going either loan / sale.

Wow, didn't realise JPB was nearly 20. Surely he needs to move on for the sake of his own career as he's nowhere near ousting anyone in front of him, and that's before we've spent a penny on new players under SG.

He’s still young and there’s no need for him to move on yet. Not every 19yr old gets many first team chances in the premier league.

A loan is a great option and will do him good.

Far too early for that . Although i don't think Gerrard is completely convinced by him.  He is a mecurial talent . A real street baller ..He can do stuff that no one else can do and that includes Countinho. But he is still inconsistent and thats what is holding him back. He is like Eze in many ways and is still 3 years younger than him .

Feels like Rangers would be a good loan for him. As much as SPL is derided good number of young players who go up there can kick on quickly like James Maddison at Aberdeen and Aribo at Rangers.

Hopefully at very least top end league 1 if not championship.
