Time for a takeover

Not looked into the articles and so on.

However I can confirm, the Futtaim family are stinking rich.

One of the UAE based Villans could offer better insight on this.

Personally I wish it were the Qataris, especially since Qatar/UAE have beef now. lol

Well, I don't know about that - he's only the second richest one. Not bloody good enough! We are ASTON VILLA FFS - deserving of the richest one, not this second placed loser!

For those of you getting excited about the prospect of a takeover by middle-eastern 'rich Arabs', I refer you to the many sobering posts by our friends from Leeds Utd., earlier in this, and related, threads.

I believe Pompey issues was due to a "rich" owner from middle east as well

Imagine if after all this it just turns out to be a large covert loan clouded as "investment".

Could very well be, e.g. in the form of a loan with high interest convertible into shares at the lender's option, or a loan at high interest coupled with a large number of warrants (rights to subscribe shares at a predetermined price) (both structures pretty similar). Such instruments give the lender the option to chose repayment (in case of no success) or shares (in case of success). Assuming, of course, no administration or bankruptcy of the debtor....

Crap owner are crap owners. Nationality is irrelevant. Let’s enjoy the prospect of having a good owner with big pockets for a bit as the reality as we know may be different.

There is nobody called George left in Alum Rock and there is certainly no pork!

Not true. I know a guy called George (real name Shafiq) who accidentally ate a scotch egg once.

Two different accounts there, the second one naming the Arab is a wind up and the first posted just before the mail did. He's got a bit right and a bit wrong (@Thatcherlover) If it is Al Futtaim, it won't be due to that tweet on Twitter, although weirdly there is a Villa link to him as one of thier Holding companies has a Villa fan as Chairman 'sir Michael Rake' it's a weird old link and either completely random or where the guy got the idea from or far less likely........true ?
