Why years?

He implemented his style on Brighton and his two previous positions pretty quickly with much less calibre players and resources.

Simply because of expectation, and chelsea's instant success model (that doesn't seem to have changed under the new owner).

Brighton went on a 13 game winless run a year into his stewardship including some really poor sides that they should have beaten (also few more 4 or 5 winless runs).

Potter to Chelsea as good as done, media at it again though, all about Chelsea, not mentioned Brighton once, I mean whos next for Brighton, who cares they are not one of the elite.

I still think its a huge risk for Chelsea and Potter, cant see it working, I think he would even struggle here.

It will be interesting to see for sure. He is obviously held in high regard, and he'll probably need to deliver some immediate results.

Aye but he’s been working with what is a bang average squad on paper, he has them over-performing. All he needs to do at a club like Chelsea is get the players playing to 90%+ of their potential in order to be successful.

Yeah because they had no-one to finish the chances they were making, they were stillplaying nice football and controlling games most of the time in that run.

After messinfg up the qualifying campaigns of both Colombia and Egypt Carlos Queiroz still manages to find himself stinking out the World Cup as he has been reappointed Iran manager. Expect a couple of turgid 0-0 draws now.

or a solid point in a tricky opener as gareth likes to call it

  • 2 weeks later...

Rob Edwards got all of 10 league games at Watford. Looks like Slaven Bilic ending up there.

Used to have nothing against Watford but way they mess managers about has got ridiculous lately so would be very boring them just getting promoted, going through another three managers and coming back down on 25 points.

Hopefully they still sign Kienan for 7m.....
