Shame, has always seemed like a nice guy, popular with his players

Very sad. England's best manager in the last 25 years as well.

Gonna be a top manager for sure.

"its the players fault"

"the subs arent focussed, they come on the pitch and arent focussed"

"all i can do is change the people if they arent good enough"

"with this lot, you either get the quality but they dont work hard, or they work hard but give you no quality"

LOL

You go Mr Deeney.

2nd week in a row he has through some players under the bus. Publicly said his right back wouldnt get a game in National League

He might run Rooney and Gerrard close for worst manager this season

Reports in Barcaland, aka, Catalunya, are that Xavi is under big pressure.

I hope the Netflix series gets footage of the phonecall when Unai tells Deco, "nah, I'm good here thanks".

B6 > Barcelona.

Always.

Would the female they had in charge during pre season do any worse? Wouldn't shock me if they gave her a chance now for next few months.

As soon as Deeney started calling out Dabo in the press he was basically talking himself out of the job.

I was quite saddened to hear the news.  He won't see / hear my message but I'm wishing him all of the very best in his tough journey ahead.  He still speaks fondly of his time managing England and hopefully he will be there for the England v Brasil game.

Inspiring. Thank you for that and your words are so kind too.

Scored zero on his own specialist subject on Mastermind & lasted 6 matches as a manager. May the BBC never allow the moronic, loser, Bluenose Troy Deeney as an 'insightful expert pundit' on to their programmes again.

No worries.  I still remember his first game in charge vs Spain at VP (winning 3-0), a big lift after the dross of Keegan.  Then he engineered the 1-5 against Germany (I was in Spain in a bar, remember it well :D). He always spoke well (and still does) of us after learning English and it is obvious he still has a passion for our National game.  May he live his life (without too much pain and with enjoyment) for a good while yet.

Funniest part about Deeney is he played for them this season and was a coach since August. So its not like he just walked into a new club

Didn't think of that. Imagine he's your team mate and then next week he's saying that you're either talentless or lazy.

But then again Forest Green hired a woman as manager for 2 weeks as a compete publicity stunt. This is probably the same business. They knew the calibre of his temperament from him being a player so this can't have been a surprise. Just a way to get them in the news again.

It seems they have forgotten about any need to win football matches

Some great trolling by Mourinho going to Barcelona. No idea why he's there and highly unlikely to be Barca related but could you imagine? The Barca fans would be in complete meltdown if they signed him :D
