Sounds like he was interviewed outside an Airport toilet - Hear doors slamming more than you can McCormack speaking!

For me he does not look too chuffed to be returning back to England.

He didn’t make it beyond the check-in gates.

As reality bites and the window starts to close I can't help but hope he comes back with renewed enthusiasm and a head screwed back on, apologises profusely and wants to make a show of it.

I can't see it, I'm sure it won't happen, but I've never doubted his ability. I don't have to like him but I'll swallow it if he gives it 100% for some 18 games.

Quite right - I hope so as well, just having a fit and focused McCormack in the match day 18 has to be a bonus for us - my only reservation would be if he is as unpopular/unwelcome as some suggest but having no actual knowledge of this my thoughts would be let's do it

What else will you swallow and under what circumstances? ;)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Dem, my old boy.. This is VillaTalk!

We'll never forget.  We'll use it against him whenever WE FEEL LIKE IT!

We'll let it fester, deep, deep, deep down..

And when we lose, we WILL blame him.

Sure, there will be people who fight in his favour, but have faith my friend he won't get away with it.

When he's a pundit on ITV Football; 24/7/365 in the year 2050, on Mooney's 1000th year on this Earth.. We'll be the ones who are laughing.. not him..

The big Scottish bastard..

ren and stimpy GIF

Personally I have just paid to name a star "Ross McCormack is a clearing in the woods" so his misdemeanours will be remembered as long as the human race still exists.

..and when interstellar travel eventually becomes a reality with the invention or the warp drive we'll petition to use its satellite planets as waste disposal facilities.

Steve Bruce explains what's really happening with Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack

Aston Villa transfer news includes a significant update on Ross McCormack from Steve Bruce

Steve Bruce has refused to rule out handing Ross McCormack ANOTHER Aston Villa lifeline after missing out on Leonardo Ulloa.

McCormack is now back on British soil after an incredibly successful loan spell Down Under with A-League side Melbourne City.

The 31-year-old rattled in 14 goals in 17 appearances in Australia, breaking numerous A-League scoring records in the process.

McCormack joined Melbourne on an injury-replacement deal for marquee signing Bruno Fornaroli and despite the club being keen to extend the deal, A-League rules won’t allow them to.

Having played for both Villa and Melbourne this season, McCormack can move to another English club this month but he wouldn’t be able to play due to FIFA’s ruling on transfers, which states: “Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs.”

With that in mind, McCormack could join a club in America with the MLS season not running parallel to the Championship.

However, Villa aren’t currently entertaining any offers for McCormack and Bruce plans to speak with him in a couple of weeks in a bid to resolve his future.

“McCormack looks as if he’s come to an end at Melbourne,” Bruce said. “I’ve given him a couple of weeks off. He can’t go anywhere else because he’s played for two other clubs.

“When he comes back after having a couple of weeks off I’ll have a chat with him, see where he’s up to and we’ll go from there.

"I would have liked him to have stayed in Australia and play because I think he’s benefited from playing. But he’ll come back in and we’ll see how he is.”

Relations between Bruce and McCormack have been tense ever since their infamous bust-up after the Scottish striker failed to show up for training last January.

McCormack hasn’t played a minute of Championship action in claret and blue since Bruce outed him publicly for not reporting to Bodymoor Heath due to his gates being ‘stuck’.

The manager welcomed McCormack back into the fold over the summer and took him out to Portugal on tour before handing him a few opportunities to impress in pre-season friendlies.

Despite the extended olive branch, McCormack did little to convince Bruce he was ready to spearhead Villa’s assault on the Championship.

But what about now after McCormack’s stunning scoring spree in Australia?

Bruce added: “You can never say never and I’ll never ever cut off my nose to spite my face, even though I’d like to at times. We’ll see what happens."

Here

So a few weeks off and then see how he feels and what he wants to do really. Ball in his court it seems and what looks being given another opportunity.

I wonder how much of an input Steve Agnew will have had a suggested on this.

Don't get me wrong, if he has turned a new leaf and can come back and do here what he has been doing in A-League then he would definately be suitable back up along with Davis.

So, 2 weeks off and he comes back... ready to join the squad? I can't see it.  That would be yet another 2 weeks to shed some excess lbs no doubt and then some reserve games to get back up to speed. Where does that take us? - another half a dozen games minimum he wouldn't be a part of. So he might be available for the last dozen games run in.

WE NEED ANOTHER STRIKER

Its not his ability that has been in question, its his attitude to graft for the team.

We have managed to achieve a bunch all pulling in the same direction, one bad apple can send the barrel off.

I am hoping that is not what Ross is, and he can blend in to a winning unit.

but i am concerned....he has it all to prove.

Yep, there are just too many question marks around Ross. We can't be relying on him, even as back up, at this crucial stage.

He doesn't........................I think we can all drink to that.

Agreed. This is why anyone talking of integrating him back into the team was missing a huge point.

It had nothing to with Steve Bruce bringing him back in.

He doesn't want to play for us!

The glaring, slap-in-your-face fact is Ross only wants to play when he is the big fish. At Villa he wasn't, so he didn't bother trying.

Yes he was working through dome issues, most people do at some point in their life, I know I've been at rock bottom before. It's not a free pass to be a knob.

Based on all the information I have read/seen/heard, it leads me to be of the opinion that he is a complete toss, a selfish person, a front runner/glory hunter. My preference is that he isn't even allowed to visit as a paying fan such is my concern that the stench he leaves is permanent.

I think he does have this arrogance about him where he thinks he is the man ama he calls the shots. That might have been the. Ast at Fulham Leeds etc not at villa. No player is bigger than our club. When you look at the attitude of hogan to McCormack that's the kind of attitude we like.

on that note however if he is willing to knuckle down and help get us back to premier league then maybe just maybe the fans can forgive.
