But this is a player with a history of injury problems who we have signed to player in a very weak area of our team. We only have ourselves to blame. He looks like an excellent player but seems he should have been an addition to Jedinak and another midfielder which never happened and now we are suffering. Well it's not like it was surprising being as he was injured for 109 days between January and May before we bought him. Before that injury he was out for 64 days between 2014 and 2015. avfc1982 Posted September 17, 2016 Share Posted September 17, 2016 It was madness signing a player with his injury record when the spot he'd be taking (in midfield) had been a weak spot for so long. At least sign another player as back up or to compete with him for a place in the team. It's bordering on irresponsibility by the management, especially when the alternative is having to keep on picking a players as woeful as Westwood. He's still young and remember the issues that D*lph had to overcome before he was able to play on a regular basis. Not ideal for the job in hand mind you and hopefully he's close to being fit.
