bamfords coming on loan apparently

just click it

The 23-year-old is out of favour at Chelsea and looks set to drop back into the Championship after disappointing loan spells at Crystal Palace and Norwich last season.

Bamford does not figure in Antonio Conte's plans at Stamford Bridge

Seriously how many young players have found their careers stalled at Chelsea?  It's a guarantee that your football career will be put back a couple of years.  They will all be multi millionaire no matter which PL team they go to so I cannot understand why any young player would go there.

Sorry if posted before but if not, a new link, gunnarsson from Cardiff for mid centre. Mentions if the jedinak deal falls through. Both please. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1602344/aston-villa-transfer-news-patrick-bamford-and-aron-gunnarsson-targeted-after-james-chester-signs-from-west-brom/

and bamford too, would be nice to have an option to buy on bamford. Chuffed with the De Laet speculation too.

Being posted in the Sun reduces it's credibility to guess work

I mentioned Gunnarsson after the Euro's. Industrious, but I think he's pretty plum average for them.

He has a beard, so I'm not interested in your opinion, or indeed his ability. ;)

I couldn't be more happy to be signing a right back, especially one at the level of De Laet. Jedinak would be the icing on the cake.

I'm really happy with the business we've done and I'm fine with waiting a little while for them all to gel. The groundwork is being done.

Agreed. Hoping best is yet to Come. If we can bring ing Hernandez/Bamford Morrison Jedinak De Laet etc. Finally we can move on from the bottlers and the majority of the starting line up squad will be new players... who importantly dont have mental scars from last year.

If we do sign Bamford, De Laet and Jedinak we are 80% of the way there i think. Still need an ACM and maybe another ST but it's looking much more positive so far. So glad we've signed 2 CB's in this window as it sends a clear message to Richards, Lescott and Okore that one or two need to **** off.

Mulling over the Luton game again and after reading RDM's comments about the collapse of teamwork, I still think we could do with selling Ayew. I know that he is one of our more talented players but actually at championship level talent isn't the problem with the majority of our squad from last year. The issues are attitude, confidence and having other right mental attributes. These issues of character and mentality have poisoned the club though and we still need to get rid of more players if we are to change the direction of the club. I guess before the Luton game we were all hoping that the new management and new players might have been enough to turn it around. But we have now played and lost in a way reminiscent of last season in our 3 last games including Middlesbrough. We need more out (and more in).

For me Ayew has issues with his character, he gets frustrated with his useless team mates too easily and starts trying to do everything all by himself. He doesn't have a lot of end product and the figures for his career suggest he never has done, I wonder if he ever will. As he is one of the few players from last year we could get a good fee for I think we should do it and get someone else in of similar talent but a better mentality.

I'd also like to see us get rid of Westwood. I like Westwood, he has always worked hard for the team which can't be said of many others from last year. But frankly I think the club has destroyed his confidence and he needs a new start. Let's get some money for him and a replacement.

I should also say that I take it for granted that we get rid of the deadwood such as Lescott, Gabby, Richards, bennett, Bacuna, Hutton, Cissokho & Kozak. Of course these players will be harder and perhaps even expensive to get rid of.

Kozak I have some sympathy for - I am not sure if he was ever good enough - but he has had some terrible injuries. That there has been something fundamentally wrong behind the scenes for a long time is illustrated by the way that Kozak had a broken bone undiagnosed for months and was later forced to get his own personal trainer to get himself into shape after coming back from injury. Perhaps he just needs a new start.

Is there still enough time to get enough people our (and in)?
