poitier
That wasn't as good as the one Gabby did against Liverpool last season, he lifted his leg so high it was like he was doing the can-can.

I was chatting with this bloke tonight. Never met him before but seemed a charming fellow so I got into a conversation with him, shooting the shit on what was wrong with the club etc. Then randomly he mentioned that the staff down VP don't have a canteen for employees anymore and had a sandwhich van come around daily instead. I just said oh! I didn't press him on the issue as he was slightly starting to rant and I felt encouraging him would allow him to continue into the second half. after a while he said that we had more chance of Randy selling up whilst in the Championship and he was looking forward to it. This made me look at him quizzically and question why he believed Lerner would sell at such a loss as the club value would also fall? His answer was, "Parachute payments. Lerner will take the money and run". I just let it go. He then jumped back onto the subject of players and told me how his favourite player was Sanchez because he could see things others couldn't?! I just that go also as by now I was feeling the worse for wear and a little claustrophobic. However before I could get in with the excuse of, "I'm going for a piss". He grabbed my arm and said, "I would go out and buy Jordan Rhodes for £15m". At that I said nothing but left my seat and went down the stairs stopping at the first steward and mentioned that there was a bloke wearing a green jacket in his 50's who I thought was having a fit. At this the steward started trotting up the stairs before realising I wasn't being honest. I was being bloody serious though!

DCJonah
Didn't think he was terrible. Great touch for the goal and created a good chance for Sinclair. I thought he worked hard tonight but he's limited and we don't play to his strengths, we play to his limitations.

FrenchVillaLova
Pulling a hamstring just after coming on as a substitute... Clearly means he didn't go through a proper warm-up routine. Unacceptable and unprofessional. Remi Garde must be livid.
TRO
It's quite nifty to have a striker to score, when you need one.....that kinda lends itself to knowing how to win. mind you, we can't score period.

Remi must've known how much of a warm up he'd done, plus his coaches. I think football as a whole are very bad at it.. Look at rugby they have bikes on the sidelines to properly warm up with. Keyblade
When is he coming back? Wouldn't mind him as a sub against Liverpool as they'll likely be starting Lucas at CB.
VillaChris
I hope he's involved as he always seems to cause Liverpool damage, away game at Anfield was probably the only game he looked a premier league quality forward with his two goals and he also caused them problems last season in the cup. 3 weeks for a pulled hamstring is probably a bit optimistic though, more likely to see him at Stoke. Keyblade
Says on physioroom that he's back on the 14th. Really hope so. Sakho got bullied by Jermaine ***** Defoe last week, and likely partnering Lucas I think Gestede can frighten them into submission coming on as a sub (eww I sounded like I was on RAWK there). Dr_Pangloss
Should be nothing more than a late sub option. Gabby to start from now on, at least Gabby makes runs in behind, Gestede turning on the ball is like an 18 wheeler trying to turn around on the M6. rodders0223
He could be playing against my Nan, it would make no difference. He wins headers regardless of the opposition, the problem is, he has a 50p head, the touch of an Adam Johnson, no pace, no awareness, no instincts, no desire, no determination, no bravery. One of the worst strikers of a ball I have ever seen. So Lucas, Sakho. It doesn't matter to me. I don't want this mule anywhere near our team. penguin
Liverpool have to be one of the worst teams in the league in dealing with aerial balls, really hope he's fit as an option to throw on if needed.
poitier
It must be a sign of how absolutely terrible we are, but I'm starting to warm to Gestede. He does seem to have an impact when he comes on, but still manages comedy moments like when the ball was coming through to him at an awkward height so he just turned his back on it and let it hit him rather than try a tricky bit of chest control.
