It's almost as if major global players don't want to sponsor the stadium of a tinpot club.

Staggering stuff.

Telecoms company Vodafone pulled out of a £20m six-year naming rights deal in May 2017, while Indian conglomerate Mahindra had earlier shown interest.

"Two deals with global brands came close to being delivered but this is an extremely competitive and narrow market which requires significant time and effort to identify the appropriate brands able to enter into such major commercial deals," said a LLDC spokesman.

Why has no investigation been done on this. Its crazy that tax payers money has been allowed go to waste.

West Ham are pretty much a government owned club

Hosting the Olympics in the first place is a crazy waste of tax payers money and the west ham farce is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the disastrous legacy of hosting an Olympics. People should have been protesting on the streets that so much money was being hemorrhaged on a vanity project.

not true, the timing of the games was fortunate with the recession before it meaning that the construction spend was a big boost to the industry, that was then followed by a load of stuff you dont see, loads of trade deals and foreign investment taking place while all the delegates are in one place, economic growth is increased

its no coincidence that birmingham are hosting a post brexit commonwealth trade event at the same time as the commonwealth games

nobody does corporate facilities and sporting jollies better than the UK

Considering who owns them,  who they are as a club and fans, the best for everyone is if they go bust Rangers style to be honest.

Be a bit embarrassing for the British taxpayer to fund a club gone bust

Look like in trouble for sharing fans data for an away game at Wimbledon

I bet they sold it for something ridiculous on the scale of club finances as well like 50k. Just like those parasite owners to sell the fans arse for a couple of quid.

I'd be livid if I were a fan. Even more embarrassing to be associated with that shower of shite than your membership of Ashley Madison leaking.
