I don't really get what the fans are mad about? I admit I haven't been following closely, but they're outside the bottom 3 (albeit only just), and while they haven't spent tons of money, is that really a surprise after moving into a new stadium?

All that said, the fans looked like absolute mugs today and I actually felt a tiny bit of sympathy for Mark Noble, which is no small achievement. What point exactly was being made by grabbing a corner flag and trying to plant it in the centre circle?

Think thats their issue, they seem to feel they're entitled to world class players because they paid f*** all to get that stadium, they lease it for peanuts (and apparently dont even hire stewards). But they have spent minimal amounts or loans on washed up has beens like Hart, Evra, Zabaleta. Tbf I think they do bid on a fair few half decent players, but they turn them down because they're West Ham :)

Gold, Sullivan, Brady....is that not sufficient grounds for and decent human being's fury?

I don't want to tarnish them all with same brush as there was a lot of decent fans there taking their kids out.

I'm no fan of porno dwarf but the abuse he was getting with kids sitting close by my god it was absolutely disgusting.

Imagine if they had to endure what we did the year we went down? There would be riots there. The fools dont realise running in the pitch and causing the delays actually helped Burnley and hindered them!

I get why they’re unhappy, pretty much the same reasons as before.

Probably as I haven’t been paying that much attention, it’s surprised me how quickly it’s deteriorated and reached that level of anger.

Even if the fans weren’t targeting him, it was a sad sight to see Trevor Brooking sat on his own in front of the angry fans.

Exactly what I was thinking...they’re 16th. They’ll probably avoid relegation still. What do the fans actually expect? They’re about where they should be aren’t they?

Hope they do get relegated. Horrible club top to bottom.

Just watching MOTD...those scenes were a total disgrace, that club is out of control atm.

Million times worse than what we saw v West Brom or in our relegation season.

Back to the dark ages!

Well it shows how much respect hey have for Bobby Moore,  bet his family were there as well to enjoy the Anniversary.  In the posh seats I suppose.

People putting their kids in the dugout of the opposition for safety that's truly the West Ham way. or people taking the kids out the ground completely,  that's truly the West Ham way.  Kids crying and coins being thrown,  that's truly the West Ham way.  Being riddled with porn and words removed that's truly the West Ham way.

There is a high chance they will actually kick off between themselves in the next home game such is their intelligence and will need a Police cordon between themselves the stupid cockney words removed.

Hope they go out of business and / or are forever in the same league as little small heath.  They deserve each each,  4 times a year footballs worst scum particles would meet and hopefully destroy each other over time like decaying radioactive isotopes in the shallow end of a scum filled swimming pool filled with mother natures mistakes.

They never wanted to leave Upton Park, that's the crux of it. Been largely terrible results at new stadium (hardly any big wins) and in their minds the owners have made them another soulless, coporate club so it mainifests from that.

I think you are right. Upton Park gave then an edge. Fans very close to the pitch and I imagine it could feel intimidating.

Now they are playing in an athletics stadium that they somehow got for free while the dildo salesman profit from the sale of the old ground.

O.k let's say if Brum had decided they'd be a new stadium built at NEC for Commonwealth games. They ring up Xia and say we can have it when they finish.

The running track remains.

So we move miles away from VP, our spiritual home with all the history of great games to a soulless place off a junction of the M42.

And we then have 2-3 seasons like the last few Lerner seasons.

It's bad enough being poor at VP, worse when you're playing in a ground that just dosen't feel home.

Thing is, Gold, Sullivan and Brady were trying to do the exact same thing at small heath that they did at West Ham. They were angling for the council to build them a free stadium over the NEC way that they would move into. Opportunists!

Least Xia respects out tradition and wouldn't move us out of VP.

Didn't they try and propose some sort of round share with villa as well? Bet that got laughed out of the room

Good comparison, it makes more sense to me now.

I think it was Lampard who said on MOTD that the board promised they would spend big on players yet they've 'only' spent £29m net. Given the cost poultry of the new stadium there's no real excuse not to spend bigger than they have, given the TV money. None of this of course justifies the fans behaviour but that on top of the new stadium is why most want new owners.
