Hanky
How does this guy not get a game? Actually ignore that, I know the answer.
West
He brings a sense of calm and quality on the ball, he combines well with Grealish, he gets into positions where he can hurt the opposition, he can pick a pass. All in all he has the attributes of an excellent footballer. Bravo Tim, bravo.
Zhan_Zhuang
Gil and Grealish both need to start games when we're at home!
Supervillan78
His turds are better than half our team combined. If he doesn't start against Chelsea then Sherwood should get sacked!
Mark Albrighton Posted October 3, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted October 3, 2015 I already know what will happen against Chelsea. He'll start Gil and he won't have a great game by his standards (but will still be a damn sight better than what we're currently used to). Then he'll demoted to the bench from whence he came. And Chelsea will win 4-0.
Shaw_nuff
It's becoming increasingly clear that Gil is a thorn in Sherwood's side. Judging by what Tim and Wilkins (allegedly) have said about what they most admire/dislike in a player, Gil goes against everything they hold dear.I get the impression that they want Gil to fail spectacularly and the team to succeed just to prove themselves right. Only the two seem mutually incompatible at present.
VillaChris
Didn't go but what was his short corner thing he did right at the end when we had 9 men in the box and he lost the ball, Tom Ross on TS was going mental about it.
Zatman
He took a short corner on about 94 minutes with everybody in the box and over hit it past Grealish I think and Walters went up other end and played out the clock

Popular Post Dr_Pangloss
He's our best player, yet he can't get a game.Baffling stuff. It really isn't all that baffling when you recognise the fact that we have an utter buffoon for a manager and a parrot for his assistant. He's our best player by a country mile (and I'm including Grealish in that), when he came on yesterday he was without a doubt the best player on the pitch, he was commanding the ball, passing and moving and created some very good openings for us. Someone posted on here last season (I think Lexicon) that he'd rather lose Sherwood than lose Gil and caught a shit load of flack for it, but truer words could not have been spoken. We will surely lose Gil if we stick with Sherwood because his treatment of Gil has been simply appalling. And I for one would much rather keep a top quality player, than a blundering, babbling brook of bullshit for a manager.
Arj Guy
Our best player. On the bench. Sherwood is a coward and a loser. He left Gil on the bench in an attempt to get a draw at home to Stoke. Pathetic even by this club's standards. The corner was ridiculous though

Morley_crosses_to_Withe
I'm totally baffled by Sherwood saying that we haven't got anyone who can drop the shoulder and open it up when he has Gil on the bench.

dudevillaisnice
The only player who is willingly keen to get on the ball and make a pass forward and be progressive on the pitch who also doesn't treat the ball like a hot potato.I think it's a disgrace he isn't playing and sums up one of many flaws of the current management. If we were winning games it would be a different situation completely.
