I once said that BTS look like children dressed as 90s boyband members. I was absolutely **** destroyed by them. You think oh thats the worst they have and then they persist.

I could open with 'Pretty sure BTS are just computer generated auto-tuned generic nonce fodder' and go from there.

I have huge nostalgia for a lot of K-Pop 2010-12 when I was out there but can't bear anything I hear outside that.  I've no idea why BTS were the ones that truly made it worldwide though.  Pretty generic K-Pop boyband at face value.

If ever you’re at a loose end with an hour to kill, say something mildly derogatory about BTS on twitter.

My lad did that a couple of years ago and got an avalanche of hate from teenage girls.

You get the same reaction in On Topic when you say we don't need a specialist DM

And do not go in the Dean Smith thread and say anything nice about him.

I've just realised I've not been in the Smith thread for months.  Maybe everyone is nice as pie in there now.

Do not, I repeat, do not go into that thread!

Even when I've been overdosing on VT and have literally nothing else to read, that Smith thread still sits there with the bold claret unread posts indicator

I might click it just to see how long ago it was I last ventured in.

I guarantee I can best it. Possibly never read it. Might go and praise him, might not.

I very rarely read the thread of whoever the current manager is, it always seems to be the worst thread on the forum.

And to think, there’s a ‘how do you wipe yer arse’ thread hidden somewhere in the depths of off topic.

The New Zealand soccer team have been called the "All whites"for ever because they wear white shirts, white shorts and white sox.

While watching the Olympics I noticed that they were wearing all black.I asked my sister in law ( who lives in New Zealand ) whats going on and she said that they had to change because "All whites"was prejudice.

My question is "what about the New Zealand Rugby team" ??????

You want the more logical reason?

It used to be a rule in international Football that you couldn't wear black shirts as that was reserved for referees (it was certainly the case until the 1990s in the UK anyway), New Zealand then opted to play in White. That rule no longer exists so they probably changed it because it standardizes their international kits across sports

Why Mancs try to claim the industrial revolution.

Sure, the city was a big contributor but it was Brum that was dubbed 'The Workshop of the World'.

Telford, specifically Ironbridge says Hiya. Birthplace of industry and the industrial revolution in the UK. This was drummed into us in the 70s and 80s more than any other historical fact.

Same reason they claim to be the second biggest city in the UK (like that’s something to truly aspire to). Just simple arrogance.

Yeah the 2nd city stuff is bizarre, the way they rope in all the satellite towns and then want to use greater Manchester to elevate their population

The city itself is smaller than Bristol

Conversely though I don't know why for so long brum council was so utterly **** useless at promoting itself, theyve neglected their global position for so long that they've damaged the city, add to that brummies themselves don't give a shit about any of it whereas mancs are desperate for it

On the global city index or whatever its called brum has to aim to be higher
