Man United - Post Fergie era

Highest PL points tally = Mourinho

Most finals = Mourinho

Most titles = Mourinho

Least PL home defeat = Mourinho

Highest win ratio = Mourinho

Trophies won by Manchester United managers after Sir Alex Ferguson:

Jose Mourinho - 3 Trophies won 🏆🏆🏆

Louis van Gaal - 1 Trophy won 🏆
David Moyes - 1 Trophy won 🏆
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - 0 Trophies won ❌

Wasn't a Yanited man.

Next.

I looked up historic managers and their win ratios after you mentioned Fergie's 59%

Matt Busby - 50%

Bill Shankly - 52%

Bob Paisley - 57%

Brian Clough - 48% (Derby)

Brian Clough - 47% (Forest)

I think that shows how tough the leagues used to be. Literally anyone could beat anyone and often did! Nowadays the gap between the top and bottom in the league is vast and there are far more predictable results.

The points structure was different in those times remember.

How games were approached and managed skews the numbers a little.  Bill and Bob for example have a lot of titles between them,  (well done Bill and Bob 👍) but they have a lower win % than I would have guessed but they still won all those titles.

Oh absolutely, the leagues were tougher as well. Ron Saunders said you needed to win 25 games to deserve the title (in a 42 game season). Plus as you say, 2 points for a win back then.

Even in 3 point win seasons in the 90's the leagues were tougher. 96/97. Man Utd won the league with 75 points. Newcastle were second with 68! Middlesbrough were 19th with 39 points.

29 points between 2nd and 2nd bottom. in 18/19 that gap was 71 points. Ok, they are extreme ends but the gap between the top and bottom in the Premier league is huge now. Before, it was there, but you could make an impact. Villa were 5th that year (96/97) with 61 points and 17 wins in 38 (44.7% win rate)

I think the late 60s to early 70s  also was when the league was most competetive. as well. United, City, Everton, Derby, Leeds all winning the league with very good teams yet it was hard to dominate.  What was Revie's win percentage at Leeds because they were the standout team of that era.

ps. Just looked it up it was 53.2%

Isn't it quicker to get from Paris to London on a train than to get to Manchester from London?

Yeah, they ought to think up a way to solve that issue.

75k a week, apparently, and he's not played in 2 years. Probably won't play for another 2 years either. It's been very clear he's nowhere near good enough, he could have had a decent career elsewhere but that's an obscene amount of money to walk away from. His family is set for generations and all he has to do is turn up for training.

Thing is no matter how bad they are run they are a cash cow and will continue to generate millions for the Glazers with all the official pot noodle suppliers sponsors of Manchester United  etc. They will have to be basically deliberately run into the ground for them to ever stop being a regular top 6 club due to the huge amount of global supporters/followers they have, thanks to the  history of being successful under Ferguson and Busby. Only 3 managers at United have actually won the league title.
