Yeah but discount redface's first 5-6 years and it would be a lot higher.  United were fairly ordinary until they won the first premier league and the rest as  they say is history.

Fun fact before 1992 United and Villa had the same amount of league titles, FA cups and european cups on the honours board.

Its slightly different now.

Yeah, in the Premier League Ferguson's win % is 65.19%

Can't agree with this. If we look at the whole room, if course, with knowledge of the future we'd let it go, but in the real world if he got second one year and we looked in course to finish 13th the next, he'd be hounded out of the club. Smith was sacked because it looked like we wouldn't improve on 11th.

I think we sacked Smith because we were on course to be relegated, or at least part of the relegation fight.

You’re still probably right though, if we followed second with below mid-table we’d probably sack the manager.

He forgot to tell to pull up  their socks and to batten down the hatches. Rookie mistake.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's soft management turned Manchester United players against each other

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was never a credible manager to make Man United a force again but was allowed to operate above his brief by the hierarchy.

On a tactics board in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's office, a list of platitudes were scrawled across the pitch diagrams. They read:

Game management

- simple and efficient

- do the simple things well and with pride

- go and do your magic

PLAY FOR THE TEAM

- worked a whole year

TAKE PRIDE in being the BEST YOU

'Pride', 'magic' and 'BEST YOU' were underlined. By the end, Manchester United were so drained of pride some incandescent away-dayers turned against the man who gave them utopia in the Camp Nou.

“TalkSport sources” say Poch is United’s top target, and Poch is desperate to join them.

Why?

Because his family still live in London….

Errrm, not sure on that logic.

Isn't it quicker to get from Paris to London on a train than to get to Manchester from London?

Poch is not going to move to United from PSG unless he is going to get sacked off. Maybe Simeone if he fancies a new challenge?

El Cholo would actually be a proper managerial appointment. Which is why I'm sure it won't happen.

If Simeone watched Maguire recently he might wait for another job :)

Poch deserves better than yanited, surely he must know this XD

He doesn't really though. Be a good move for him if he gets the support behind him and they can sort themselves out off the pitch (they won't)

Silll an amazing opportunity, Poch isn't an elite manager

my comment was more in jest in that no one should have to drink from that poisoned chalice.
