He lacked end product and a real drive when on the ball, but his link up play with Kodjia and Tshibola second half was decent. He certainly improved when he moved into that right wing back position,
Czechlad
He seems a decent right back especially at this level. Center mid is a no go. I'd rather see Lyden there, but Bacuna at right back is good.
Dr_Pangloss
Pretty brainless decision to play him in central midfield in the first place, simply lacks the awareness and quality to play there.
It's Your Round
Thought he had a fairly good game today, certainly looked 5x the player we saw last season. I was a bit shocked to see him start where he did in the first half but he looked positive, just lacks real quality.
VillaChris
Bacuna is fine at this level imo, no issue with him starting.

villan_007
From what I've read, had a shakey few mins, then bossed the game. Unlucky not to score from a free kick. Anyone who went confirm??
Popular Post Demitri_C
Had a very good game well done lad. Im glad the abuse has stopped towards him. Time to move on and get behind the team
sidcow Posted October 19, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted October 19, 2016 I posted in the match thread that I heard his name for the first time in ages and had forgotten he was playing. That said being radio commentary it could well be he was doing a lot of hidden hard work like closing down and blocking off players. For me we HAVE to play 3 less attacking midfielders till we change personnel in January so he should be first name on the sheet in midfield. He has found his level I think (which is most definitely not champions league)
KT3AVFC
He played well and was probably the most threatening of our midfielders. He should definitely start on Saturday.
Vincenzo
I reckon Bruce played him for his engine as he is one of our fittest players. Just told him to "get in there and put himself about a bit"
Tommo_b
Was probably nice for him to be playing as a midfielder for once.

Ran his balls off too, lead from the front.
AvfcRigo82
Solid performance last night once he calmed down a bit. Interesting role for him to mold into if need be.

Raver50032
I enjoyed his performance last night... I can forgive, though will be harder to forget. But for me, he was man of the match last night. Keep going Leandro... keep going.

He pressed them high up the pitch, which in turn made the whole team press, which in retrospect then lead to their penalty as we lost shape. Not that I'm blaming him, that's training ground stuff, but he gave the fans what they were screaming for. Passion, drive, energy. He's been decent all season.
Tom13
I'm not gonna say it was a sitter as it was on his weaker foot. Similar to the Kodjia effort on Sat actually (when he should have teed up McCormack). Bacuna for me though is a confidence player. And people who've said in here he has no technical ability, he actually does. Lack of confidence and being played in about 5 different positions doesn't help him.
