Seems to have reached minus $37 per barrel which technically means oil companies are paying buyers to take their oil as nobody wants it and they have nowhere to put it.

Eventful year this 2020 so far.

Does communism have a different definition over there?

I would genuinely suspect that the people in both those photos would struggle to tell you what communism was.

They just know it’s a change away from lazy privilege.

I would imagine communism is also a tax on diesel, limits on fully automatic weapons and the move away from lynching as a hobby.

While it is easy to mock those protesting. Please remember that health insurance is tied employment in the for profit health care system U.S.A.

Hence, people are scared silly by media nonsense related to the virus and worried that they will be financially ruined by this invisible enemy too. Protesting the government that defines this set of circumstances is not so illogical in such a scenario imho.

This says nothing about understanding, just basic human behavior... and accounts very little for the entities looking to use this anger/fear.

I just wanted to laugh at thicky before the multipolar world comes into effect and we're all vapourised in global conflict.

We don't have Jeremy Kyle on the telly any more so it's hard to quickly and easily identify people we feel superior to in order to build up our own self importance.

Also you sound a bit like one of them there communists.

What's weird is that futures are $20 +, which I guess means they are expecting growth over the next few months or the opec cuts from May aren't calculated yet.

Whoopsie daisy.

Yeah, it's all just a scam. **** Idiots. Were it not for the fact these stupid words removed will be infecting other innocent people and health workers, I'd say good riddance. There is no excuse for downplaying the virus. These clearings in the woods who take pride in their ignorance, and supporting their cult leader, will have several mantelpiece's full of darwin awards on them.

I kind of agree, I think. I mean if the low paid and at risk of losing their jobs (and thus healthcare) are being failed by the Reps and the Dems, which they seem to have been, and if they're given, additionally, dodgy info by whichever media channels, then...what can they do? they know they need health care and they know they need food and rent and utility money - then they know the most important thing for them, under their circumstances is to be able to work, just to provide for themselves and their families.

Rather perversely, what they appear to need, is socialism.

I guess they need a form of social democracy, yeah. Not "Socialism" totally (though I suppose how you define that...). But  the means of production, distribution, and exchange being owned or regulated by the people is never ever going to work for the US. Their whole ingrained, from the start and from the constitution, goes against that (whether they need it or not - and they don't need it in my view. They just need, as a minimum, social protection - medical care, education etc available to all regardless of wealth or status etc.
