I've seen enough of Bennett to see a level of ability good enough but he's very much a confidence player. He's become a scapegoat for the faults of the entire defence. Unfair to lambast just him. Outjumped by a bigger CH for their goal, but made a couple of important interceptions in the 2nd half.Pedestrian game, no eal urgency, thought we lacked quality in the opposition half. I'm neither scapegoating him nor focusing solely on him. This is the Joe Bennett thread. Don't be surprised to see a focus on Joe Bennett. He has been our worst defender, mind. He's been poor from the very start and, in my opinion, is the only Lambert signing not to develop over the course of the season. His positional sense is disgraceful and it would be very surprising to me if he was any better next season. Would much rather buy someone else to play there.
