Ponky Posted July 8, 2012 Share Posted July 8, 2012 I think if anything I reckon Lambert probably wants to get a fair bit of his business in terms of incoming players out of the way before they leave for the States. With a newish squad, new management & coaches, he would be very keen to get everyone together & on the same page as quickly as possible. The trimming of the squad could possibly wait until after the trip, given he realistically wants to at least look at them all in the context of how they perform for him before flogging them off. If there's any truth in the rumour at all I'd snap their hand off and get Sturridge or Hoilett in with Clark stepping up to replace Collins.
