He'd still play Premier league football up to the Euros. Ruddy has been dropped and can't get a game ahead of Declan Rudd. Maybe Ruddy could still have hopes of being the third keeper for the England squad and a move here could freshen up his career. Ledley is an outside bet, but he has a lot of competition at palace, and he will not play much football in the next few years. It depends what type of lad he is , but if he wants to play week in and week out he should relish the chance to step on to the villa park turf as one of Aston Villa's main midfielders.

The Main negative with Garde is that he might not have a great idea about the english transfer market. This worries me. In the championship we will need to add a couple of championship ready players. Lamberts tactics cost us the game. He set the team up to play on the counter, like we would away from home. The idea was to let collocini have the ball,in the hope he would give it away when passing into the midfield. Unfortunately colo is a good passer of the ball. Vlaar is good IMO. I don't see where the criticism comes from. As someone stated when he was out last year we shipped 15 goals in three games. Yesterday he kept everyone in line at the back. Liverpool only created one chance guys. You'd think vlaar was gifting sides chance after chance.

I think his distribution has improved during preseason. He has added quick throwing to his arsenal. Also his Drop kicking is impressive. He always fires it into an area where we can contest a 50-50
