AshVilla
Playing Guzan is like fielding no goalkeeper at all Glad he's been dropped
HanoiVillan
Can Bunn be worse? It'll be interesting to find out.

New_Jersey_Villa
Great to see him ecstatic about the win even after being dropped. Shows he's a team player at least.
gilbertoAVFC
People seem to forget there's a reason Guzan has been picked ahead of Bunn all season. Because he's better. The manager will see that everyday in the training ground.

Seems a very simplistic view but anyway how he performs in training means absolutely nothing if he doesn't recreate it where it matters. I think we've seen the last of Guzan as a starter and it's about time.
lexicon
I very much doubt that, Penguin. Guzan's a good keeper.

Sherwood, and now Remi are seemingly not completely happy with the Goalkeeping options. I'd be staggered if Guzan or Bunn start next season as number 1. I'm happy for Bunn to have a run, but where did you draw the conclusion that Guzan is bad at crosses? I don't think that's the case at all apart from his very early Villa career. Richard
I'm not a professional manager or coach at all and my suggestion may not hold weight in terms of modern day thinking with regards to coaching techniques but you know what I'd do with Guzan? **** him off
Popular Post BOF Posted January 13, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted January 13, 2016 You started with a bit of a poem there Stevo so I carried it on I'm happy for Bunn to have a run, but where did you draw the conclusion, that Guzan is bad at crosses, to me that's just delusion, I don't think that's the case at all, apart from early on, but recently he's on the ball, for me those worries are gone.

Okay bad is perhaps not the right word but I don't like his positioning/footwork and I think it's suffered over the past few years. The Everton game is a good example for me, okay Lukaku's goal was a superb header but every time the ball is wide of Guzan he looks suspect, even when the ball is only a few yards away. I don't think he's comfortable adjusting his feet and body when the ball goes/comes from the side; shot or cross. I feel he used to be better. Popular Post Ingram85
I don't like the vitriol aimed at him currently. He's done well for us in his time and has kept us out the sticky stuff more than enough times, even after being overshadowed by friedel for too long and after we dicked him over by releasing him and then signing him back. He has never run the club down, took the proverbial and has never just been happy to collect his salary etc... Yes he's been poor recently, I do think he is done here and criticism is fine and recently justifiable but he doesn't deserve the dogs abuse he's been getting lately. I'm thankful to Brad and when/if he does go I'll be wishing him luck.
