Efan Ekoku was commenting during the game that he can give Villa a more direct option and win free kicks. Football isn't primarily a territorial game, it's not rugby. His cons far far far outweigh the 'pros' that have not been seen in over five years. Aston Villa should not have just a an average player starting Unfortunately now we are a mid table team he isn't the only one. Though he is the definitely one of, if not the worst. Gutted. The guy is clueless and how he's keeping Clark out of the side is a mystery to me. His positional acumen is non existent. A modern day Steve Sims. It's been said many times so I don't need to explain, some see it some don't. Tonight he's had a bad game though. We signed him when we were on the up, and was basically half a replacement for Martin Laursen. I think we have to wonder why we signed him for the price we did in the first place let alone why he's still here. West Ham fans were utterly bemused at the time that we'd signed their third choice centre back. Although prices are always inflating, he cost more then Laursen did and there are several excellent defenders in the league right now who cost far less.
