The_Steve
Good job he only do 2/3 a season as Man City can afford the luxury of benching him.
Popular Post Johnnyp
Players will come, players will go. The 2 constants ? The club will always be here and there will always be another game around the corner. If that doesn't sustain is, nothing will.

Are we a better side with Jack Grealish, or better with all the signings we’ve made plus potentially JWP, Abraham and another left field signing? Unemotionally, selling Grealish could be the best thing we ever do. This. Hopefully the club can turn the situation into Man City giving us £100 million being the worst thing they could do. We take the hit, but smile and keep coming for them.

Popular Post Okonokos
Don't wish him well at all. That's small time. He said he believed the project 10 months ago and wanted to be part of it. Bull shit! I hope he never wins a trophy and his career fades into obscurity. 10
villalad21
I'm sure Kane has been telling him staying at Spurs for all these years was a big mistake. If I could go back in time i'd have left much sooner etc Not to mention the Chelsea guys boasting about Champions League I swear our players tend to leave once they establish themselves as regulars for England. Didn't that happen with Milner, Delph etc... Edited August 4, 2021 by villalad21

I'm sure there is a contingency but their unwavering support is not promised. As another responder said, Lerner got disillusioned pretty quickly when he figured out how things work in England. Who knows what will happen, you or I certainly don't. On the basis that they're clearly very sharp and will have planned for this thoroughly. We just pulled off a major coup with the Bailey signing, and have Buendia now too. They'll see us right, they have so far.
Daniel
Hate football sometimes. Just when you get something good going the big dogs come and strip it away. Contracts don't mean nothing when he's already off just one year into a new contract.

Wainy316
I think I've cracked it guys. Grealish knows his career is practically over with a non medical detectable shin condition and he's bagging his beloved club £100m out of love...
Tom13
I thought I'd understand and respect his decision. Now it's happened, I definitely don't. Can't wait till he's gone now.

That's what would drive you mad. I don't know what kind of plan they have for him and Foden. And I don't want any youth player nobody had heard of in the deal. Popular Post Steero113
There are only two things that actually bother me about him going: 1) The quotes about my city, my club, my home last year. 2) Sam Lee taking the credit for "being right all along"... And the £400 I pissed up the wall on him staying. Edited August 4, 2021 by Steero113
Popular Post Okonokos
Just remember this; one day he won't even be good enough to play for us. Careers are short. Clubs aren't. VTID. 5

MaVilla
tbh, i hope he stays, ofc i do. However, if he does go i will be forever grateful that he helped us back up to the Prem, helped keep us in the Prem and I will see him as a brilliant player who played for us, but i will never see him as a legend or hero status, he will just be another player who left at the first sniff from a plastic club. Also, lets not fool ourselves, he didnt go last season because nobody actually bid for him, so this summer is literally the first genuine bid and decision he has had to make, and if he chooses to leave....on your bike son. If he does choose to stay though, thats how he will cement his status, its really a big decision for him i think, and for how he is seen long term by the Villa faithful. Most important thing is we spend that money very wisely and continue to grow the club, if he does go, i do honestly think we can be a better team without him if the 100m is spent wisely. In closing, ofc we all want him to stay!, lets see what the day brings hey.
