Does anyone else feel like the summer isn’t really here?
I keep thinking “that’ll be good in the summer” or “we should do that in the summer” then I realise it’s here and happening now.

I think with the weather being mainly meh and the fact the children being at home is a normal fixture these days I forget what time of year it is.

yeah its been shit this year, worst kind of weather its mid 20s but then raining inconsistently throughout the day meaning that you have to take a coat with you just in case, **** hate that weather

hottest its reached here has been about 33, got to 40 last to years but no sign of it this year, nowhere near as long either, its been a week long spell of sunshine thats it, 2 years ago i swear it seemed to go about 6 weeks with no rain and a week long 40 degree spell in the middle

paired with rona still about its making me want a holiday really bad

Has anyone been to Thomas Land at Drayton Manor? Thinking of taking the little one there but it'll cost £42 to get in and that seems steep for a 3 year old to go on some tiny roller-coasters for a few hours. Is it worth it?

My kids used to love it. They're nearly 19 and 17 now so not so much anymore 😁

I look at the BBC Weather forecast most days and keep an eye on the fortnight ahead.

By my reckoning there has not been 1 single day in August where there has just a round sun icon in the forecast and there isn't one due in the rest o of August either.

It's been a shocking summer for cloudless sunny days.

Bit surprised to see that OnlyFans has decided to remove explicit content from it’s site as I’d kinda assumed that was it’s bread and butter.

I’m gonna have to come up with another revenue stream.

True, but in this case the bread is of the baps variety.

We went today and he loved it.

I kinda hated it as I'm far to big for the rides and was horribly uncomfortable and it appears my tolerance for queuing decreases as my age increases.

It was great to see him enjoying it though.

Absolutely. Not helped by me not having any time off this year so far. I keep thinking, "I'll go away in the UK this summer", while forgetting that summer is gone and people at work are talking about year end reviews and Christmas work cover!

I've only had one or two days enjoying the sun in my folks back garden, whereas last year, there was a lot more. We've had that week or so of mega heat, but I was working and sweating my jacobs off at the time.

This has to be a publicity stunt.

It just makes no sense. They're doing it apparently at the request of their finance partners. But surely no finance person would be stupid enough to ban the very content a website sells.

It's like Sky Sports banning sport content.

If it's true it's gonna be a big year for Chelsea Ferguson

was skiing in val d'isere few years back and he was at the resort at the same time by all accounts. i snogged some girl on an apres ski evening out and some mates i was with were adamant she was his daughter as they'd seen her with him. i am 100% positive they were either mistaken or on a wind up but i'm claiming it anyway.

If you did then you’ve won VillaTalk

They’re watching Iron Man in the other room, I’m headphones and some nice heavy dub tunes and a Brew Dog.

So yeah, all good now.

Does she think you spend your time online talking to subscribers of Hello magazine?

The 'finance partners' in question are MasterCard, who do not have any meaningful financial interest in whether OnlyFans succeeds or fails. The backstory here is that Nick Kristof, who is a very influential NY Times columnist, wrote a story that scared a lot of payment processors, about there being videos on PornHub etc of girls who are the victims of sex trafficking. And the backstory to that is that the organised Christian right in America has taken to opposing porn through fronting the question of sex trafficking, rather than arguing porn should be illegal or harder to get directly.

The upshot is that payment processors forced MindGeek, the publishers of PornHub and many other sites, to only allow content from verified users, and this is part of the same push. The consequences are that lots of people doing sex work are being forced offline and (back) onto the street, which is a very big negative, but of course they don't count in the opinions of people who do, so.
