The squad I would like to see for the Euro's is:

Pickford, Ramsdale, Johnstone

Walker, Alexander Arnold, Chilwell, Colwill, Konsa, Branthwaite, Stones

Rice, Mainoo, Ward-Prowse, Loftus-Cheek, Maddison, Bellingham

Bowen, Saka, Foden, Watkins, Kane, Solanke

And then one of the likes of Palmer, Trippier, Tomori, Grealish, Elliott, Dunk to make it up to 23.

But can't wait to see Maguire, Henderson and Rashford start the first game despite being utter s***e throughout the season.

Watkins won't be going to the euros if he has to choose between Watkins or Toney... 100% he will take Toney, Cocknose has a right chub on for him ✊💦

Gareth Southgate remains unsure if there will be space to include Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins in his Euro 2024 squad.

Both have been called up alongside captain Harry Kane in a 25-man squad for friendlies this month against Brazil and Belgium, but Southgate can name only 23 men in his squad for the summer tournament.

Asked whether there would be space for both this summer, Southgate said: “Maybe, maybe not. I genuinely don’t know the answer to that.

“That will depend on what kind of profile we need, what the profiles of the rest of the squad [members] are, whether we need a couple of players that are adaptable in a couple of positions that means we can pick specialists in certain other positions.”

Nobody really knows.

If I'm not mistaken, White doesn't really like football, he never watches any, so I'd not be surprised if he just wants to enjoy his time off instead of going to play more football without being paid for it

Does anyone know what this is all about?

Sort of mentioned a page back, White left the World Cup early due to an alleged fight with management and not sure has been called up since. Southgate denies is any reason to do it

As said he doesnt really like football so cant imagine international football is a bother for him. Why travel around Europe sitting on cold benches and watch Harry Maguire make a fool of himself when you can stay home and rest

Press reporting Southgate wants to discuss his future after the Euros - I hope he doesn’t want to stay on longer as I have barely any interest in the national team under his management.

If he gets to last 4 or better I could see the FA begging him to stay on.

I don’t want England to fail (but I also do just to finally end his tenure)

I’m a little intrigued by the fact it was someone from Arsenal who delivered the news. I’d have thought in general circumstances the player would have had a conversation with the England manager about this. Is Gareth being a bit mischievous stating that Ben didn’t speak to him directly about it?

It does suggest some kind of fallout between the player and the national team.

Not sure why I’m commenting as I really don’t give a **** about bignose and his pals, but…

if they only took two goalkeepers there’d be room for another forward.

Not allowed, has to be 3, I'm pretty sure squads used to be 22 players, it was then increased to 23 but had to be 3 keepers

Makes sense really, so if there’s an injury or suspension there will still be a sub keeper should there be another injury/suspension.

It's only happened in like the last 3 or 4 tournaments or something, it's a relatively new thing

Like you say it's considered a specialist position so you get 3 of them

Probably not one for this thread, but I always find it fascinating when a guy gets to a really elite level and has no identifiable interest in the sport at all. Have no idea how you manage to get this far really.

It’s unfair to say White has no interest in football. He seems interested enough when playing for Arsenal.

He has no interest in playing a squad filler role for the PE teacher in a ridiculously defensive set up and to be honest I don’t blame him.

You can’t shit house your way to win a tournament 1-0 off a corner or a bit of luck these days anymore. And to try and do that with the amount of attacking talent we have is a sporting crime.

I think you can be competitive, talented and dedicated but also like to switch off away from work.  I doubt it’s even that unusual, he just made the mistake of admitting it.

Yeah my mate who was ex west brom now doesn't play Sunday league or 5 aside or anything, says the job element of it killed it for him

I dont blame white, what he should say is he's more focused on arsenal which is fair, he's resting at home for them rather than sat on the bench watching maguire for England

The weird thing is how it's generally accepted that fans put their club first, people hate international breaks, hate maguire, hate Southgate, some outright hate England but when white calls it our there's outrage? I'm 100% with him
